Thompson pulled his attempted spoil. Yep attempted spoil. Not a punch. An attempt to make contact with the ball. So he caught Jack Reiwoldt. The force was as insufficient as the bump laid by Buddy and he got off. For Thompson to be reprimanded for "that" is an outrage. Burn down AFL House. :stern look

If you believe that then you don't watch games.

He takes any chance he can to get a cheap shot in. Always has always will. Got a week for the Cloke one.

We need him big time. He has to get better than that. There is no one left in the shed.

Simples !!!!!

So because someone disagrees with you, they are uneducated and don't watch games.... Please tell me the meaning of life as well, seeing as you know everything, and the rest of us are but students learning from you the master."..
Your posts are boring and inane, surely take the let off and move on.

In: Jacobs
Out: Wright

Daw needs to stay for structure. Calls for Adams or Gibson to be dropped are laughable. Defensive structure is fine with Spud as 3rd tall so no need for Grima. LT can have another week to recover. We'll smash them!

Not sure if some North Supoorters are on the same page in wanting Adams out but I'd be getting rid of Wright, that's about all. Too slow to be an AFL footballer. He has reasonable skills, but he's too slow.

Adams has had one good game, given us nothing for pretty much every other game. Wouldn't have survived two rounds if he was held to the Greenhead standard.

Probably only changes forced by injury or recovery (a best 22 player that someone needs to make room for).

LT and Grima back if fit, Patch out if injured. LA, Daw and/or Wright most likely to drop out if needed, Jacobs most likely to come in if possible. Seems like a week not to worry too much about an extra tall defender coming in. Nahas must surely be moving up the list of players too valuable to drop.

Daw needs to stay for what structure? Was working well for structure last night in that first half. He was really missed and our structure fell to pieces when he was off. Wait...

B: Firrito Thompson McDonald
HB: Mullet Hansen Atley
C: Gibson Dal Santo Bastinac
HF: Ziebell Black Harvey
F: Thomas Petrie Daw
R: Goldstein Greenwood Cunnington
I: Swallow Nahas Adams Anthony
E: Jacobs Wright Harper
LT for Sammy. Benny for full game after another dominant display if LT no good.
Narni can be eased back in the Melbourne and Brisbane games. Can tough it out at Weribee next week.

Ten bucks says it pisses down in Adelaide.

Kidding aren't you
Im an Adams sceptic but if you cant admit he played good in 4 games WC Freo Swans and port then you aret giving him a fair go
And I think he is too inconsistent Give Jacobs his spot

Despite having his haters, Wright was far better than Patch tonight!

LA deserving of his spot too - that turnover goal was just as much Adams fault as LA's, Adams needed to attack the ball at its highest point rather than wait for it.

Said the same thing when i was watching it. They both got **** wit thrown at them.

Against Port: 16 disposals (75% DE), 7 CP, 9 tackles, 2 inside 50s, 0 goals, 2 behinds, 2 goal assists
Against Swans: 29 disposals (52% DE), 14 CP, 7 tackles, 5 inside 50s, 1 goal, 1 behind, 1 goal assist
Against Fremantle: 21 disposals (76% DE), 5 CP, 3 tackles, 2 inside 50s, 0 goals, 0 behinds, 0 goal assists
Against West Coast: 21 disposals (52% DE), 11 CP, 8 tackles, 4 inside 50s, 2 goals, 2 behinds, 1 goal assist

What did I say? He had 1 good game and offered nothing for the rest? Okay, been a bit harsh, 2 good games and one fair, the others not that much.

Still, that is a relatively poor return from 11 games, especially given the standard we know he can play to.

Adams has kicked 6.6 and has had 6 goal assists and laid 45 tackles from 11 games.
Nahas has played 6 games, kicked 6.5 and has had 1 goal assist and had 24 tackles.

To me that is the problem, he has played almost double the games Nahas has and he just doesn't look dangerous, is not front and square that much up forward, isn't in a great position to receive, doesn't look dangerous when he has the ball.

Nahas has played as many good games and as many fair games in almost half the number of the games, that is the problem with Adams to date, he can't afford to be a passenger. Wells and MacMillan are going to come back into the team as genuine midfielders, are you going to push Adams or Nahas out of the side? Because if it wasn't for Adams midfield time he wouldn't be getting much of the ball.

Jacobs and Adams play totally different roles. Adam is playing primarily as a forward with midfield rotation time, his midfield time will be cut down as we get our choice midfield on the park. I want him to do well but when he is forward he has to look dangerous... more dangerous than he is at present.

People calling for Anthony's head should probably watch the replay again.. He shouldn't be going on that performance as sub and was better than a few who actually had full games. Was involved in several scoring opportunities and only had the one poor decision. Keep.

Adams looked pretty sore after landing heavily on his shoulder just before the final siren and could possibly do with a rest. Wright would be in the gun (and Daw definitely is) going on the coaches comments which is a little disappointing given he was looking quite dangerous in the first before falling victim to a much needed structural change at half time. Truth be told he was better than Black in that first half, but thems the breaks.

A lot will depend on the fitness issues of Wells and Thomas who are probably auto in's. Even an underdone Wells would be a very good sub candidate, imo.

I watched the replay twice and was at the game, I saw Anthony go half hearted at two contest, kick across goal with a shit pass and handball back into a contest. I just think Jacobs would offer more and the team isn't any better with Anthony in the team.

Geez you guys mark Patch harshly. 20 disposals and 4 tackles a game in the forward half is not easy to do. Valuable player for us.

Agree with Pykie that he's no good when injured/down on confidence but he's neither of those things atm.
