The question is does this team have the heart and love for coach that this team did?

If it does it will win and convincingly.

I remember there wasn't much love for Clarkson's position at the time but look how that all worked out. The Hawks were nervous and fumbling in that last quarter which kept us alive. It shows things take time to gell.

Yeah he had only won them a flag purely off his coaching strategies and tactics 3 years earlier...

But yes Rome wasn't built in a day. The question is Buckley a General Trajan or Nero?

Don't want to go Jane Bunn type, but there is only 0.4mm of rain forecast for Sat and that is in the morning

It will be a dry game

Under Buckley.. we played avg in 2012.. have been average to well below average ever since.. with seasoned professionals and with youth.. and a combination of the 2.

A lot seem to overlook how many premiership players Bucks has had at his disposal even though he cut quite a few.. still a decent amt. None of em even in this current side have really been able to replicate or better their form over the yrs.

You need to draw the line at some point in time.

6 and 1/2 yrs later.. we're still bloody hoping.

If we don't beat Hawthorn.. enough is enough!

So to get this clear, in your opinion,
1/Goldsack played his best footy prior to 2012.
2/Pendlebury has been a bust since 2012
3/I'll leave Blair out of the argument
4/Bucks is responsible for Reid's body breaking down
5/Swan was a bust after 2011

His a draft bust ppl need to accept this

Not not at all.. Swan and Pendlebury have been exceptional.. but I still feel as though they could have been a tad better. Just that 5-10%.

Goldsack has never been a great footballer just a consistent contributor throughout his career. In and out of the seniors. I've never been a fan of his to be honest.

Reid this yr hasn't been that great. Nor has he been anywhere near his form of 2010-11.

I saw that Vickery has shaved his ridiculous mop off. So no doubt he will suddenly become a reasonable player, just in time for us.

Reverse Sampson you reckon?

Felt for Ronny McKeown that day.
Can still see the forlorn figure standing inside the players race with a blank expression as the MCG collectively realised that Collingwood would be Premiers.
Ala Bob Murphy last year...except Ronny was fit...just wasn't selected by Leigh Mathews (after playing most of the season, 20 games).

Felt for Richo too, fitness test consisted of Matthews running through him and smashing his collarbone.
