Its expected given its known as a trial over pre-season, but reckon there had to be over 50 kids here tonight. Dennis Bank's son being one of them. Tadhg McCarthy being another. He's off to schoolies next week, but he'll train again soon.

Collingwood is likely to land Josh Walker from amateur club Collegians.

The Oakleigh Chargers graduate transferred from Eastern club Waverley Blues this year and was consistently in Collegians’ best.

He was the Round 15 nomination for the VAFA Rising Star, with the club declaring his improvement had been “profound’’.

“He is very competitive, and also possesses a high level of class and skill that complements his hardness,’’ Collegians said. “ He started out as a wing/forward but has now progressed into an on-ball role. He’ll still go forward at times, and regularly hits the scoreboard.

“Josh has a very exciting future ahead of him, and we look forward to seeing his continual growth.’’

I thought he was a bit disappointing. Didnt feel he was very fit through the season and had injuries in the pre-season. I dont think he was the leader they hoped he would be.
Not his fault we isolated him in the goal square, but he was a bit inconsistent.

I felt we had to do better, and looks like we're gonna have a lot of new players next season. Gonna be very interesting
