Stop looking at things in such simple terms, we still have to pay our list a total of 500k less then the hawks/wc pay theirs regardless of if we want to or not.

Cripps contract gets extended by 2 years with 600k per year and you pay it now, Rather than paying a player from another club more than your captain and best players.

If you pay lennon 600k a year, what do you think your current players are going to ask for when their next contract is up ?

So you have got nothing, do you understand that by blowing 2-3mil on a few players you can reduce that minimum cap spend from 95% down to around 70% where it should be for a side at carlton's current level?

Then when your list grows you can severely cut back these players to give the real playing list the pay rises they deserve instead of overpaying them to begin with and having them leave looking for more cash later on? The bulldogs will be able to hold together their playing list extremely well by using the cash spent on boyd & still spent on griffen at GWS.

Do you understand there is sfa difference between the minimum 237.5k yo have to pay PP/avg vs the 250k PP/Avg you can pay at maximum? or even the expanded 262.5k with the new 105% rule?
