Traded Chris Yarran [to Richmond for Pick 19]

Ummm, I'm late to discussion.
Why aren't West Coast and Freo interested in him given his ties to Walters and Nic Nat. Freo don't have many players capable of disposing of the ball like Yarran. What is a realistic view of his worth in terms of draft pics? Apologies but there are 126 pages of threads devoted to him.

I believe that Carlton are well within their rights to ask for a 1st round selection, I rate yarran at around pick #20 but we dont have that and cant see sos accepting #30+.

I think deal will be done for #12 for yarran and probably carltons 3rd coming back , Lets be honest he was a #6 and if we are prepared to offer up $450k a year for a contracted player - We will get the deal done and should be around the 1st pick which is in itself #12

We will have a Gun & He is in his prime and ready to tear it up

Firstly, thank you for speaking sense.

I could also see something around:

Carlton: Pick #12, Pick #30
Richmond: Yarran, Pick #20ish (Bell), Carlton's 3rd

To be honest I don't think Bell very good
Has shown rapid development, a fierce desire for the contest, and runs all day.

He lacks a lot of polish.

A high half forward who runs all day and can have stints in the midfield - would finish top 10 bnf at the Lions.

I think he is worth pick 20ish

Can't see him getting any better

LOL. Bell is not worth pick 20 and he's not wanted I would imagine. You won't be getting pick 12 either. Yarran was in the reserves for a wooden spoon team picking up sub 10 disposals in the latter half of the year. His management has already said he won't be playing for Carlton next year and wants to leave. Contracts are not worth much these days in trade stakes because clubs rarely hold players against their will and there's been a lot of bad press between Carlton and Yarran.

McKay said the Blues were unlikely to try to persuade players to stay at the Blues.

“If people don’t want to play for Carlton there’s no point them being there to be quite honest,” he said.

Richmond are also interested and strong suitors for Harley Bennell. A similar type but just miles better. If a first round pick is going anywhere, it's for him. Tipping you'll get our second round pick or we'll just trade for Bennell.

Because while he moves like a gazelle and his kicking action looks sublime, when you look a little closer and analyze his actually output, he's just not that good.

Time will tell. To be honest I plucked pick 20 from what I have been reading across the Carlton/Brisbane boards.

Why would Bennell want to come to Tigerland? Party with Dusty? I think Bennell heads to WA.

Yarran will be all the Tigers have left to chase after losing out on Treloar/Motlop/Bennell. Worrying signs if your "window" is currently open.

The only thing that would stop Bennel would be a desire to return home to his family in WA, we have proven with Martin that we can deal with troubled players and we dont have players requesting release so one would assume we would be a good place for him.

Our only issue in attracting someone like Treloar is we wont pay overs for players, which Im personally happy about.

Received 2x 3 votes (BOG) in a team that came 18th.

You've probably watched a handful of Carlton games this year... or perhaps a few passages of play here and there and come up with a conclusion from that.

inb4 "nah i watched every carlton game this year and he's not good"

98% of people would agree with me
The 2% would be Carlton supporters
