Traded Chris Yarran [to Richmond for Pick 19]

Of course he had a shit season, he had your club in his ear for most of the year priming him for defection. Bit rich to use that as a reason to devalue him.

That's like creeping into a car yard at night, slashing a car's tyres, then coming back the next day and telling the salesman you deserve to get the car on the cheap due to it having 4 flats.
Are you sure Carlton hadn't made it clear to other clubs that Yarran would likely be on the trade table.

I dont know myself but there has been no complaints by Carlton about us tapping up a required contracted player, I can only assume that any discussions may have been with the full backing of Carlton.

17 from Brisbane to Richmond.
26 from Collingwood to Brisbane.
31 from Richmond to Brisbane.

Richmond get 17, which goes to Carlton for Yarran.
Aish goes to Collingwood.
Brisbane have 26 & 31 for 17.

Bell deal is lifted by a Collingwood second rounder from GWS, ADL or St. Kilda to Carlton.

Think that is the latest update by Emma Q.

Well then if both clubs are both satisfied with the possible outcome and RFC have publicly valued Yarran at about pick 15 to 18 why not just trade pick 12 is a slightly better offer and get it over and done with.
All the petty posturing is ridiculous, it's not that Yarran is an unknown quantity, RFC are aware of his potential.

Well that's getting a little closer however would have preferred a little better than pick 17 for Yarran, it's highway robbery, Blues are bulldozed in this deal

I got a feeling pick 20 being saved for GWS boys so they can use it for the academy pick... and also depending what we get for Bell. If Astbury deal falls over which it prob will now by the sound of it, Richmond will need to pay up or piss off.

I like that even better, much rather we keep him
take a risk with Yarran, Bolton may just be able to turn this around.

don't know what your point is - to Carlton, Yaz has trade value, it's a first rounder.

what are u trying to say - that if a club is willing to trade a player they aren't allowed to get more than pick 31? how does that work?

Try reading and comprehending what was actually written.
Your 2nd sentence is absolute nonsemce.

Yarran & 20 for 12 = Yarran value about 45
Yarran & 26 for 12 = Yarran value about 35
Yarran & 20 for 12 & 31 = Yarran value about 19
Yarran & 26 for 12 & 31 = Yarran value about 15

So Hawks have 15 or 18. We keep Yazz. If he is desperate to get away from us, rather than being desperate to get to Richmond, he will opt to go to the Hawks rather than see out the year.

Yep. But pick 12 isn't being traded.
If we can't get another I don't see Carlton trading him for 31.
Reckon he will stay at the blues.

Yeah I've always said I'd love to see Yarran running round for the blues next year. Provided great entertainment in the latter part of 2015. More please.

About sums up your contribution to the discussion.

If he is set to sook it up next year because he doesn't want to be with us, he'll take the Hawks offer.

Yep. If we can't get 17 or 21 for him the Hawks may get him (but I reckon they will use 15 and 18 on Carlisle and you he will stay with the blues). What pick do the Hawks have after this?

I'll look forward to this if he chooses to stay:

or this

or maybe this again in round 1

Rather bank on that than a shit second round pick quite frankly.

Saints are still the front runners with Carlisle. We'll see how it pans out.
