I'm not putting any time into the Clarkson rumour at this point in time as we have all had our high hopes burnt before (something...Skav....something), but if it were to happen then that would just about blow open the brewing rivalry between 2 currently fairly mediocre clubs.

Geez I wasn't expecting pessimism when I posted that this morning. I briefly spoke to the same source again and he revealed possibly even more interesting news that Travis Auld also traveled to the Gold Coast when Clarkson was here.

Pessimism protects u from having your hopes built up only to be disappointed.
Having said that, Auld coming up here at the same time as Clarkson does make it more interesting.

Great interview, 100% disagree with the thing from Garry Lyon of getting rid of a player with value like 2MP for a leader. Like come on, the list is young with games and experience the team will grow. Just keep adding blokes like Barlow to push this leadership and we'll be better off. I agree with getting rid of Ablett, and Frawley's comparison to the saints getting rid of Plugger, was great, and hopefully that occurs for the SUNS

Why does he answer certain questions so regularly with "to be honest" at the end?

What are you on about? I just said to calm down with the personal attacks on him as a person all the time. I made no comment on his coaching ability. Why are you constantly trying to start fights on our own team board?

I'd rather comments on the original post rather than this continual personal retort. Talk about the "to be honest" statements and the tone of his presser than this stuff aimed at me.

I think we can do a lot better than the current coaching direction

Yeah I'd like apologise to Eade etc however it wasn't a sufficient 4 quarter effort in the end against a depleted and pretty poor Hawthorn.

Great that we won and as always a win should be made the most of.

An apology is silly and was never necessary. I have my own qualms about Eade but think he's alright overall. I just don't enjoy seeing people get carried away and personal on this board.

A good night for all Suns fans regardless. We really needed this win if we are any shout of doing something decent this season.

Yesterday's game shows a coach is often only as good as his players. Not sure a Clarkson type is what we need. If Rocket isn't going to coach us next year, I'd rather move him into a Football Director role to assist whoever comes in with the transition. Rocket has acquired a really good understanding of our list now and it would be a big loss if all of that "Organizational Knowledge" walked out the door. Good change management practice is essential for us to continue to move forward. Get this wrong and we could easily slip backwards again.
