This will be due to the huge liabilities all bookies will be carrying on a Collingwood flag - clearly best backed all year, plus multis into Judd, Melbourne Storm etc

Good odds. Fair enough given what the bookies need to cover. Not big enough for me personally to put money on it though. Just not worth losing to only double.

Yeah, it's almost like a large amount of money has been wagered on Collingwood for most of the year and now there's a lot of money being wagered on Geelong.
Amazing.

You consider even money 'tasty odds' in a two horse race.

You don't bet much do you:rolleyes:

What? Geelong have beaten you twice, clearly have the better form line and are the better side. They should be clear favourites. Anything $1.75 + are excellent odds for Geelong imo.

I think Geelong has only been in black figures maybe twice since the start of 2007, albeit both most likley against the Pies. Geelong's a good horse to be running for you at evens though.

However with my punting, might just back the Pies and celebrate a Cats flag!!:p

You're not paying attention are you? Collingwood has been heavily back all year and is a leg in many, many multis that the bookies need to cover.

The game is at pick 'em odds and any bets just to win are pretty stupid.

Considering Geelong will win comfortably then these are good odds and the best we'll get Watch them shorten right in

I am listening and I understand. But it doesn't change the fact, that Geelong at $2.00 are great odds.

I haven't had a bet on anything in ages, but these odds might just get me back through the door (of that place where you bet bets on). Collingwon't would need to improve significantly on their recent games to win next week, especially if Stevie J plays and Jolly doesn't.
Collingwon't may go into the game with a couple playing with significant injury concerns, as we did last year and it's a risky move and probably backfired on us. It could be a round 24 type result again.

Odds about right, although the Cats will shorten as the week goes by. Collingwood should be favourites, been the top team all year.

Just added Geelong into a few multis. Those are crazy odds. In no way shape or form should Collingwood be favourites. Collingwood have been below par for long enough now for it to be a trend not an anomaly.

While Collingwood at their very best can beat Geelong, I think it's been proven that they cannot "turn form on" when they feel like it, which is what was said after R24. Geelong unfortunately have hit their peak at the right time and should be significant favourites.
