I liked Seedsman tonight. He always showed flashes but wonder if he can put it all together for a solid season. Would have rather held onto him that some other blokes on the list...

Think he needed the kick in the behind to get something more out of himself. Hope the trade to Adelaide finally sees him live up to his ability.

I think our preparation has been excellent.
Going by the NAB Challenge "ladder" you can temper our result given we share top spot with Freo and Melbourne. I would say given the company and no insult to Melbourne it's half as good as it appears.
The best result has been our young and untried players getting a taste, at a very very low injury cost for once.
Add to the that the fact we start the real season in the "habit" of winning and some outstanding single quarter come backs, all bodes well for a good start to 2016 proper.

Goes Pies!:thumbsu:

Per Tom Browne on Channel 7 just now, club to unveil Buckley's contract extension at the launch tomorrow night...

Just saw Pendles and Alex Davis walking down Flinders Lane in their gym gear. Not gay but couldn't get my eyes off Scott.

There was a hot yoga studio nearby which I assume they were going to. May have to join up *cough cough*
If Scott is walking with Alex and you are looking at Scott only
Well..... You must be a mad keen Collingwood supporter....

It's happened before

They have their stats very wrong in some cases............Fasolo kicked only 3 goals 7 behinds for the 3 games???? 5 v Geelong alone, super goal against WB and 2 v North...1 super goal 7 goals.
Cloke only 1 goal?...he kicked 2 against WB
Think they are average stats over games played.
Interesting that 13 players played all three games, wonder whether they will be rested in the next intra club.

Gault is averaging 8 goals a game then...:D

No. They are incorrect stats.

What all this means is that the luxury afforded by Collingwood's new midfield will allow Scott Pendlebury to be the player to sweep behind the ball.

Pendlebury should do more than evenly split his time middle and back, balance should be in favour of defence and only going in the middle when the occasion demands a steadying influence. In short, he should assume a Luke Hodge-type role.

Collingwood now have a potential opening centre square of Treloar, De Goey and Adams. They could have a first change of Crisp, Aish and Greenwood. Steele Sidebottom and Tim Broomhead can take a turn. They also have Dane Swan who likes the idea of being a forward and kicking goals, but by his own endearing admission can get a bit bored and cold if the ball doesn't come down so he likes his turn in the middle.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD MICHAEL GLEESON!

Seriously, has this dude just been stalking our board for material?

I just think, what are we missing? An attacking, running defender with good skills. Oxley and Seedsman both have good skills. both are very outside players though. But Seedsman can run. Oxley - not so much.
Oxley is a better overhead mark, better kick and better decision maker. Obvious choice to me as to whom to keep between the two.
