I'm not sure I think he only posted one long post describing what his mental illness was about and he was very thankful of the support of the fans. Feel sorry for the kid.

Do Feel Sorry for Him.

Tough it shows why he Fell in the Draft

Yeah no doubt. He's going to keep playing footy at a lower level, hope that is fun for him.

Hope he does and That Shows that not all People are Able to Play AFL Footy. It's not all Physical

KM - on Collingwood draft strategy which do you think is a better draft position for Collingwood more picks or higher picks? 1 first round or 2 second rounds. try to max the number of second round or the highest t pick possible? with GWS and other academy clubs you can offer decent pt upgrades shaping later picks for higher picks is going to happen this year. which is worth more to collingwood pick 13 or pick 23 and pick 28? (for example , relying trading out a player to get another second round pick)

I'd be going for proven, established, high level players over high picks or a high number of picks.

Heavy list turnover is not necessary. 1-46 or however many we have this year on our list. We're pretty good. The bottom of our list is fine so only 3-5 senior list changes are necessary.

And without our first round selection this year, going for a high pick probably isn't what I'd be going for either.

If I'm to compare the concepts of high picks v lots of picks. The implication of having lots of picks is that there is great list instability with lots of underperforming players, playing movement and no continuity which will ultimately result in losing as has been the historic implication.

On the other side of things, having high draft selections implies either a losing season or trading out a quality player - which means you're getting worse.

In this draft in terms of value, the top end is very even so a pick in the teens would be terrific. There is also value in the 20s. You could go either way and be happy this year.

The one dynamic in this years draft that should be noted is the top end (top 20) is very even. It's not a year you'd want a top 5 pick, you may as well have two picks in the teens.

Interested to hear your take on Brown and Daicos' performances over the course of the national championships KM.

Brown and Daicos both in my view enhanced their draft stocks on the back of their play. They're both now players I'd look at as worth selecting with national draft selections. I would look at both around the third round as selections. If a club were to bid a first or second round pick I'd be inclined to pass and let them go.

In my weekly wrap (posted today on ESPN) I wrote a short snippet on Daicos.

Sorry Knighta...

Wish the boy all the best.

The writing was on the wall from the beginning of the year.

Terrific football talent, but it is what it is and all you can do is hope he can mentally get into a better place.

Gary Rohan KM, would you be looking at him as a free agent? Obviously has had his injuries but he could add some more pace to our side at not a massive cost.

Rohan is a free agent next year.

Good talent with great speed but just has had a bad run with injury.

I'd like to see him get a fresh start elsewhere. Geelong are very keen from reports and may even go a year early and trade for him.

Rohan I'm be willing to spend a 3rd round or equivalent level player - so that would not be enough to get him via trade.

As a free shot, free agent. I'd take the chance if he doesn't want too much.

Not a guaranteed best 22 player which is why I wouldn't spend more (as he doesn't win much of the ball). He offers something different through with his pace and is someone where if things go right for him, he strings games together and he gets on a hot streak. He is someone who could potentially be an impact player in any number of positions.

What about Vardy? He's injury prone but perhaps worth the risk given his age, our list requirements and his ability. If he comes off then it saves us from gambling for a key position forward in the draft for a few seasons at least.

Vardy has been good when healthy and early career showed some big promise.

He just hasn't been terrific in recent years. If delisted I'd look at him but I wouldn't be trading for him based on 2016 play.

I'm also not convinced he fills a list need.

Mason Cox and Darcy Moore as key forwards can both push up into the ruck and likely will reach greater heights by position.

If I'm looking for a key forward. I'd be looking for a genuine key forward. Maybe a Casboult or Redpath could be among the better key forwards to go after.

Josh Jenkins, Jarrad Waite, Rory Lobb, Jonathon Patton and Thomas Boyd I'd also have among those underrated key forwards around the competition. Or in the case of Jenkins I would have said that last year, now some clubs are bandying around ridiculous figures that are well beyond his level of ability, as much improved as he is.

Jenkins as with Redpath for the Dogs and I'd say the same of the Hawthorn forwards (Gunston etc). Because of the quality and speed of delivery, their stats are higher than they would be elsewhere. So you recruit them being aware of that. But in saying that all these guys are performing to an AFL standard, and if available for reasonable prices they'd be among the key forwards I'd be letting clubs know they should be looking at.

With key forwards. The key indicators for me (in established guys are) 2 or more goals per game average, 2 or more marks inside 50m per game and 1.2 or more contested marks per game (or 2 or more if more a power forward).

Be Stupid to Trade Aish after 1 Season Knightmare at Moment he won't be anywhere near the Trade Table

Aish isn't someone anyone would realistically want anyway for that to be a concern.

You may want to look at the bottom of post one for those recommended list changes and those I'd be looking in the most part to trade (Aish is not one of those).

You had in Trade for Right Price.

How you know no one would want Aish?

No knowledge of the plans of AFL clubs is necessary.

Aish is a 20 year old who in his first season with Collingwood hasn't done anything or established himself as a best 22 quality player.

Given this, he is not someone any club would be making offers for.

Aish was very good last night and been getting better since Return from VFL

Aish is on the improve and I agree has been better (less bad) on return from the VFL.

He played his first good game of the season v Adelaide after struggling up until this point.

Players aren't suddenly good after one good game. Aish needs to deliver every week between now and the end of the season to be rated higher than the 30th best or 30th most valuable player on the clubs list.

Aish is not "available at the right price". We went to a lot of effort to get him as a long term prospect. Hes a keeper.

My player rankings are not to represent where the club rate our players but rather represents where I value them with regard to their position inside our best 22 and their value towards our best 22 long term.

My view on Aish is that it depends who is on offer.

If Geelong were to offer Tom Hawkins and expressed interest in Aish, I'd be willing to offer Aish + to get Hawkins.

Aish isn't a clear long term best 22 player. He has chances, but he is someone I'd be upgrading on if someone better was offered for him certainly.

As a first year player for Collingwood Aish isn't someone practical for trading, as could be said of Wills or Smith, so as a result they're not players I'm listing as "on the trade table" as players I would be looking to offer up in trade week. But they're players based on who they are today and project to come I'd be strongly considering moving over coming seasons unless they improve to a level where they are clear best 22 players.
