Early days, but looks like we have 4 players in the oakleigh U16 pre-season training squad (2027 draft). It'll be rounded down in feb for the final squad that'll compete in the U16 games next year.

Ted Fraser (F/S)
Eli Kravic (NGA)
Cooper Brancatisano (NGA)
Luke DeValle (NGA)

Mid and wing I think going by the multicultural game, he may play another position, prob forward at club level given he is sub 180cm lol But not surprising to be that size at 14-15yrs.

Great to see Doug Kerr there i think he could be a player
And he's bulked up even more during the 6 months since I saw him last.
Guess the last 5 months he can't do much but be in the gym. He only just turned 18 in August too.

Pies fans will be excited to hear that Tom McGuane is shaping to be an excellent prospect in the 2025 draft pool. A little undersized for the midfield at this stage, he makes up for it with fantastic movement around congestion and ability to damage on the spread. This game was heavily affected by the windy conditions, and while Tom misplaced a few disposals he managed better than most, growing in influence and helping his Jets team claw back from a significant scoreboard deficit in the second half before ultimately falling short.

We have an afl academy prospect training with us soon according to Cal Twomey. Might train same week as Tommy

Look at that vision he has. Great footy IQ.

Don’t understand the queries on his size. He’s slightly on the smaller end of what you’d expect the average draftee midfielder to look like, but certainly not small enough for it to be a major issue.

Looked to have put on a little size. But yeah, it's not an issue.

Care more about kicking, agility and speed in a midfielder than size now days. Plenty average sized or smaller midfielders are elite. Butters, Neale and Gulden to name a few.

And his kicking and footy iQ/vision is Elite.
Class is what I think when I think of him.

He's taller than Josh Daicos - Not sure how anyone would be thinking height would hold him back.

And he'll fill out in time.
He racked up the ball as a 16 year old against older and more mature bodies, I don't think it's an issue even going into jis U18 year.. Less alone another 12 months going into the afl
Then factor into his exposure against men at senior level, he doesn't let his size hold him back

Mick was telling me, in the Keilor GF, Tommy had 10 touches in the last Q alone.

I was going to see he looks like he’s put on a bit of size in your latest video of him training with the VFL side.

He looks noticeably broader in the shoulders and even his arms don’t look as small. Not that it has held him back anyway.

Do you think Oscar Lonie will make it?

Oscar didn't really make much impact in the games he played for dandenong, so its hard to say. Lets see if he keeps his spot on the list and improves in the pre-season

Jen, good to hear but if this was the case why did we let Harmit Singh get poached by Sydney?
The role he was offered by the swans seemed to be bigger than what we had at the pies. More responsibility and likely more money.
So will be interesting who is replacing him as head of the academy/coach
He seemed to be someone that wouldn't want to be in one role too long, just wants to keep improving his coaching
