Henry will understand that Rohan and Hawkins will be retiring (maybe even this year) and Dahlhaus and Higgins are gone. It’s going to be an easier forward line to break into in the long run. I get the pull of home for him as he probably sees himself at the crossroads at the moment.

Anyone else think Sydney's youth have a lot of similarities to ourselves?
I kind of hope that some of our players turn out like some Sydney players.
Fin Macrae = James Rowebottom
Harvey Harrison = Chad Warner
Nick Daicos = Callum Mills
Arlo Draper = Ollie Florent

Also Bianco hopefully becomes similar to Sidebottom, Reef becomes similar to Crisp, Carmichael becomes similar to DeGoey will hopefully be pushing for best 22.

I know this is best case scenario, just a thought.

I think every club would have types in the seconds they hope to become as good as the Swans youth, the difference is that Sydney seems to be elite and bringing them on. Saying that we've had some serious development back and forward with young players just not so much mids lately.

Mark Anderson when he was interviewed after the 2020 trade period. Now that Treloar Stepho and Philipps are gone we have our salary cap under control and can target free agency next year. 2 years later and nothing has changed.

The Treloar dump WAS a good outcome. Painful, incompetently handled , but definitely the right decision.

Treloar most was a salary dump because his contract was heavily backloaded….and as a consequence we mostly had to subsidise the Dogs for what we owed him. Grundys case is different. The new regime can’t justify his contract and thinks we need to invest in other players/positions.

Dumping Treloar was perhaps the right decision but the outcome in no way shape or form was good.

Collingwood survive with Grundy staying. But it's stupid list management to have a million dollars in a ruck thats on the decline.
Craig McRae is cleaning out, e.g Browns, Chugg ect and bringing in better depth and players in general.


The cap is not bursting. The cap isn't anywhere near 2020. A new coach wants his list.
