If we get Mitchell fairly cheaply I’d say it’s been a successful trade period for us,because we would have addressed most of the holes on our list.But I was disappointed in the Grundy trade.I feel that we definitely caved in there just to get rid of most of his salary.Imagine if we wanted a player of Grundy’s stature from another club?There’s no way we would get a player like that for pick 27.We would have to give up a first round pick at a bare minimum.

From Wright's interview I reckon the speculation we've chosen Mitchell over Fiorini is pretty well spot on the money.

Reading between the lines I'd say we'll be paying Mitchell more salary wise in order to give up less at the trade table. I only say this because he almost tried to say that we could barely fit Fiorini in the cap

I mean... unless Parish is coming

Mitchell and Henry deals still in play. Fiorini not coming though.

Emphasised McStay, Hill and Frampton were our priorities and will see what else happens from there.

Spot on mate. Wish he had said something along the lines of “Geelong are aware that we require a first round draft pick for this deal to get done. We rate Ollie highly and are not willing to let him go for unders”
