You are tripping.

41 was never getting it done for Mitchell. He's a Brownlow medallist for pete's sake.

Pick 50 is worth three quarters of eff all.

We ditched junk picks and a little sook and got a crucial cog in our continued improvement (we NEEDED a first possession getter) and a useful pick.

To get Henry, Geelong had to lose a pick 16 and add it to the pick 25.

That is how

They were asking for our 27 originally. Looking to offload him to the point of willing to pay his salary...sound familiar? Cough Grundy.

Overall, this ended up being a really acceptable deal. Pick 25 and Mitchell for Ollie and a couple of picks we weren’t going to use anyway is a good deal. It means we got to retain pick 27, which we can potentially trade in to next years draft, and the Hawks are happy because they got their man.

The best part of all of this however, is the fact that Geelong ended up having to give away their contracted, former pick 16 developing midfielder, in addition to 25 to secure Henry. It would have been cheaper for them to just give their future first, but instead they decided to be dicks about the whole thing and they’ve received the karma they deserve. Absolutely delightful.
In addition to about five or six picks to Brisbane, including two future picks

Would like to trade out either 25 or 27 for future 2nd of a likely bottom 8 side for next year. Essendon a monty for this one.
Nek minute, Scott gives them a dead cat bounce prelim loss and we get pick 34 or something.

Would you trade 25 and 27 for 18 or 19 from GWS.

Go in with 16 + 18/19, and a rookie upgrade?
Ollie Henry realistically cost Geelong pick 25, 38, 48, 55, future 2nd and 3rd as well as Cooper Stephens (pick 16).
Farking hell!!! That is brilliant! Can one of the 3,000 people who continuously posted about points please calc that out?

Congratulations to Graeme Wright and team.

Overall a very good trading period.

Grundys mega contract of our books, hopefully have salary room for a big fish next year or 2, come on down Ben King.

Mitchell, Mc'stay, Hill will already be best 22. Hoping Frampton can also break into side as Key fullback.

Now to hopefully have some talent slide down the draft and pick up a young developing key forward or two.

Nicely put.
Mackie acted the dick and ended up getting it.

You're exaggerating it. In your assessment the Cats got nothing for Stephens.

We traded Henry for 25 and part of Mitchell's value. Not ideal, but the Cats weren't offering fair value, so we did what we could.
And your downplaying it Cats - got bent over and done dry for #25 - give it a rest.

Based on draft points, pick 6 is 1751 points compared to 1,823 points for 16 and 25.

Can Hawthorn be persuaded to part with pick 6?
No.

WC for 12 and Carlton for 10 are the only realistic possibilities albeit slim.

You can be fairly certain we've done well because the Geelong board is banging on about Tom Mitchell is crap and McRae is going "crazy Vossy".
Let them stew. Hell, even that Lily chick on Twitter who barracks for the Dons is trying to jump in on the Cats parade. Sad that other supporters worry so much about what Collingwood does.

Who cares, the sook is out of the club, and good riddance. Imagine a 2 year player threatening a club, that firstly gave him an opportunity, looked after him and developed him to a senior AFL player, that if he isn't traded he will walk to the draft, and he doesn't want to play with the club, in any circumstance. What a twat, so l don't care if we got pick 51 for him, l'm just happy he has farked off.
I hope he enjoys his time in the Geelong VFL side....🤣
If he plays against us, at AFL level which l doubt, but if the Cats have a string of injuries and he gets a game, then l want big bad Billy Frampton to run right through him.....!!
Followed by Kreuger then a big Bruzzy tackle.
