One of the most bizarre things about Buckley, who was such a brilliant kick, is that he didn't seem to rate the art very highly at all when assembling his team.

He cleared all the scrubbing kicks from our defence. We kicked it ok under Bucks. But we always played so few forwards that any kick that wasn't perfect looked awful because there was noone up there to provide a contest.

I’d complain. We should be bringing in players to improve our list, with Dow we’d be recruiting depth. Would far prefer we back in the likes of Macrae, Allen and our other developing mids than bring him in.

I like him as a player but just not sure where he fits in…

We have Johnson and now Wilson for that 3rd tall spot…and in the backline Himmelberg isn’t big enough to handle the power forwards.
