Guarantee you that Markov will be available at mid season draft with no competition for him.

I reckon Steene has shown enough others would be interested.
This is why I'm more in favour of recruiting Steene over Markov, tactically it makes more sense in a list management sense. Although a Mature Age Ruck like Crossley would be a bit more ideal in the short term.

Crossley rumoured to be a loose unit off the field in the Stephen May drinking type.

StKilda also looking for mature ruck or ruck/forward options given Marshall No.1.
Saints rucks/KPF injurries: King, Hayes, Allison, Campbell (Ruck)

Leaves them with: Sharman (KPF), Keeler (18yo R/F), Membrey 188cm, Heath (20yo Ruck), Adams (19yo Ruck), or deffenders like Cordy/Battle

I totally forgot about Keeler. Wonder how he's going? Apparantely Scully is the talk of port this pre-season.
Someone mentioned around here, that Crossley isn't interested in getting back into the system. Not sure how legit or not. But he had a good season with southport and nobody was interested who needed a ruck; so maybe there is something to it.

It's a shame we couldn't find a spot for Keeler - he could be something special.

Keeler was apparently training away from the main group to start with as his fitness was behind others.

He's training with the main group now I believe but not standing out except for the odd flashes of quality like kicking a goal from a tight angle etc.

It's hardly a surprise. Steene is raw but we can cook him.

If Steene performs well in the VFL, I think Begg's time on Collingwood's list may come to an end.
Begg was very good yesterday. You could tell how much stronger he is now, its showing up in his ruck work and contested marking up forward. But he wont be a number 1 ruck given his size.

This is from the age.

Cameron’s strong form last season has helped to ease the absence of two-time All-Australian Grundy who has moved to Melbourne. The Magpies also have Mason Cox and Aiden Begg as ruckmen, while West Adelaide teenager Oscar Steene is hopeful of being added to the list through the supplemental selection period.

I'd like to see Begg developed as a key back, unless he tears it up as a forward in the VFL.

They really rate his ruck craft, so at least for the time being.. it'll be forward/ruck.. lets see how he goes in the VFL now he looks stronger, so shouldn't get outbodied as much.

Can't, too excited! I plan ahead so I can fantasize about how they can make us better. This is the thread for it so keen to hear other peoples thoughts and who they want to target.
Fair enough.

You have the list of FA's.

But given we went hard last trade period, I don't think we'll go as hard, and target less.

But suppose De Koning is the one that is of most interest.
