I think back to adams comments re the daicos tag at half time during the hawthorn game, something along the lines of ‘he needs to learn to deal with it if he wants to play midfield’, at the time they seemed odd comments as it looked like he was having a crack at daicos for struggling that day, in hindsight perhaps they were a sign of a player frustrated that he had moved down the midfield pecking order.
That one struck me as poor when I saw it live. Good call

So what’s the master plan here? Obviously this has been going on in the background for some time.

I find it difficult to believe we would weaken our 22 when B2B is a prospect.

Have a feeling something is in the works here, and this is just the first domino to fall…..

I don’t think they publicly stated that they wanted Titch out. It was more “we don’t mind if he leaves” similar vibe to Adams.
No. Hawthorn were pushing for Mitchell to leave and chipped in. We're not going to be chipping in to pay Adams' salary.

Why can't we go for Sydney's pick 11?

Adams and our pick 18, 36 to Sydney
Picks 11, 23 and possibly a future 3rd to Collingwood
Offer 11 and 23 to the Suns for pick 4 plus a future 2nd or 3rd pick
Suns need points for this year possible 3 top 15 academy picks

We'll aim for 23 then we'll look to bundle 18 and 23 to see if we can get within the first dozen in the draft.

Might target a selection GC gain after trading out pick 4.

Doesn't mean we can achieve it.

Much rather hold Adams to his contract than accept a rubbish pick 44 we wont even use.

This on Fox Sports:
"while the out-of-contract Finlay Macrae has shown enough in the seconds to warrant an AFL opportunity"

Just the type of crap journalism you expect from them.
As we all know, he's not out of contract and will get his opportunity next year.

We will end up with 23. He is contracted and while the club will want to fulfil his request, it's a massive bargaining tool. Sydney won't back out of the trade, for a guy they have really targeted over an 8 pick gap in the 20's/30's.

For Collingwood, flat to be losing Tay, but it opens the door for some talented depth to stake claims on an AFL spot (Fin/Reef/Ed) and will give us two draft picks well inside the the top 30 to bring in some talent.

No idea. I think Fly has senior footy next season lined up for Macrae....
