Any thoughts on Reef as a third back option - as much as I'd like to see him given every option as a forward/mid, he has the height and mobility for the Howe role (disposal might be an issue) - if he can't break into the forward line next year would it be worth his development to give him a run down back?

I raised this mid year and someone shot me down as he apparently hasn’t played there before.

Reef has speed, size and tenacity which all would make him worth looking at as a defender. But obviously there is more to it.

He averaged 0.1 contested marks this season and is not strong in the hitouts... complete opposite of what has worked for us with Cox/Cameron duo

I’m late on this Ginnivan news, but this is the reason he didn’t play Kings Birthday.

He did the same/similar for the grand final.

He wasn’t committed to the club. He’s committed to the p155.

No point. He’s a forward. Looked to be in great form at the end of the VFL season.

More a suggestion to avoid him playing more VFL time - I'd prefer AFL exposure in the backline to more time in the VFL

Has there been any chatter about another late trade? Getting the Schultz trade done early and then Ginni before the deadline makes me think there might be something? Or is the cue in the rack?

Could you please stop acting like Murphy’s career is already over? It’s getting ridiculous.

We all hope that it’s not. But when it was Murphy and his family that pushed for an assessment by the same panel of doctors that assessed Paddy McCartin, it’s a legitimate concern.
If there is a doubt over his long term health, then pulling the pin after winning a flag would make sense.
All said, fingers crossed he is playing on into next season.

It’s the pattern of him putting “promotional events” before a game.

Difference is, Nick, Pendles and others in the team don't put themselves in this type of position.

Where's the antics? This was widely discussed on bf at the time. It was photos. In & out. Water. Not sure why it's being rehashed.

And for the record, those older players have said they'll have a wine or 2 during the week during the season.

Many players do promotional events during the season, some are held (shock, horror) mid week. Many on here have attended them.

Anyway, the only really really good trade weve done for ages is the Beams for picks and Crispy
That was the trade that had the biggest impact on our recent flag

We got our Norm Smith medallist and best finals player for said flag last year ffs.
