Where's the antics? This was widely discussed on bf at the time. It was photos. In & out. Water. Not sure why it's bring rehashed.

And for the record, those older players have said they'll have a wine or 2 during the week during the season.

Many players do promotional events during the season, some are held (shock, horror) mid week. Many on here have attended them.
Pendles, Nick and friends are professional athletes always looking to better themselves.
I liked Jack but he is slow.
Off season ok for this type of socialising.
Jack has done this a few times although the real reason he is traded. Slow and a little lazy.

Fly and GW see this. I trust them

All clubs are full of different types of players with different personalities & attributes.

Thank goodness.

So we take our 2023 Premiership team and lose Ginni - I am ok with that as he is replaced by Schultz.
We add in McStay and possibilities of AJ, Dean, Reef, Noble, HH etc.,
The main point that seems to be missed is that we have a better team and we have more space in the cap now - I believe this was the aim.
I think this year was to set us up for end of next season with known retirements - we get the cap space set up now for the end of 2024..
I am pleased with this.
Roll on 2024 - B2B Flagpies.
Nicely summed up.

True brother but it came down to pure talent going into the future.
Small tank, lack of speed and zero defensive pressure..
Schultz gives us all this.

Sure cap space but minimal draft assets to trade for much quality without a F1. Also no FA of note next year.

Aw, man. I can't copy+paste cells from Lore 's spreadsheet like I've been able to do in previous years.

How am I gonna procrastinate work by doing a phantom draft now 😔
Sorry 😝

Does this help? 🤔

If you added the points columns next to it, yeah. But probably not much point doing it before 7:30 tonight 😂

Ps love your work. Your spreadsheets are literally the best part about BigFooty

I’ve never really followed the off season stuff like I have past two years so I’m still learning some stuff.

Can someone please correct me where I’m getting it wrong here.

We delisted 5 players (that’s 5 spots to fill)
We traded two players (that’s 7 spots to fill)
We recruited one player (that’s 6 spots to fill)

Am I missing something? Or do we need to recruit / elevate 6 more players?

We may yet still lose Murphy too

And we have 3 draft picks. One is pick 80.

How are we filling these spots?

I’m late on this Ginnivan news, but this is the reason he didn’t play Kings Birthday.

He did the same/similar for the grand final.

He wasn’t committed to the club. He’s committed to the p155.
Your social media sleuthing is far from impressive. What is your evidence that this is the reason he missed KB, and not his 9 disposal 0 goal poor outing against the worst team in the comp?

I thought I was the best part of BigFooty 🥹

At least two of the delisted players were rookies (Wilson was a category B) and I’m pretty sure Jack was still a rookie listed player so senior list positions there would be 3 spots to fill, 4 if I’m wrong about Jack.

Also don’t forget we can recruit via the DFA or SSP or leave a list spot open for the MSD.

Norm smith medalist and bloke that came second (or third) in the voting have shown to be pretty good trades

yeah they are good players. we traded well to get them and were judicious in our choice of player

however Im just talking about extracting value on the trade itself. we havent driven too many hard bargains since beams

But i do see that there is a totally different paradigm in approaching trades, which is totally fine too

But one thing I will say is that if people are happy with the way we trade, then dont go round panning hine. we dont do him any favours
