Losing Moore would be worse than losing literally any other player on the list.
Think of the possibilities though.

With an extra top 5 pick we may get someone as good as Moore!

Yeah. We want a top 5 pick to take a KPP, but we already have Moore. Chances of getting someone as good with one top 5 pick are slim.

Letting Moore go via RFA for a top 5 pick means we are getting screwed. He's worth much more than that in a trade.

Understand some hesitancy in paying him due to injuries, but you'll never get guarantees around that. He's an elite, young player. We will be desperate to keep him.

Patrick Lipinski

The Pies started negotiations with the Bulldogs by offering pick 58 for Lipinski and then upped that offer to two picks in the 50s. But the Dogs have been hoping for better for the 23-year-old, with the Pies exploring other pick swaps with Richmond and the Dogs also looking at their options. The clubs are likely to find a trade that works to avoid seeing Lipinski go through the pre-season draft. – Callum Twomey

This Trade I still see Happening but will take to the Final Few Hours on Wednesday to go Thru

Wasn’t Will Brodie a salary dump like us?

Bit of both - really more of a "warm body" dump as GCS have too many players on their list after AFL house blew up their list size with 6(?) extra players and a bunch of extra picks a few years ago.

I hope that I’m proven wrong, but I cannot see McCreery making it.
Ginnivan maybe, but not Beau.

I think McCreery was easily our most impressive debutant this year and is odds on to have a decent career with us. McRae's focus on tackling pressure makes him a very important piece of our forward mix. He may not have the same ceiling as some of our other debutants but the bloke is solid.

Kane Cornes is deliberately trying to stir up some attention.
Don't bite.
They also don't have much salary cap space. They let Aliir go for nothing and have had to let Dawson and Hewett go.

Moore wasn't all that likely to head to Sydney.
The biggest influence on him considering the move at the time has removed himself from the Club too (with the encouragement of a couple of fellow board members).
That would have been Eddie who was badgering him about going on the Footy Show IIRC.

He'll be a good role player. Not everyone needs to be a star, but some players are tough, hard workers and they go on to have good careers. No reason that can't be the case.

I like the combination of McCreery and Ginnivan. Don't think either are certain to make it, but as types they fit well. McCreery more defensive and Ginnivan more skilled.

I agree North will pick JHF at 1 for a few reasons
and he is a very good prospect
One point I will make though is that the standard of SANFL seniors is not what it was.
I spotted 2 guys in the GF who made Mick Nolan look anorexic

And didn't Gibbs win the Magarey Medal so that says a lot about the standard as well

Yep, they used to going back in the 90s have a lady on the board who specifically cared for the indigenous players which led to Richie Cole wanting to go there instead of to us.
Cole played over 50 games for us, and less than 10 for the Bummers.

I don’t think Collingwood made a lot of indigenous players feel welcome unfortunately. Whether perceived by lack of recruiting or when at Collingwood (from what we’ve heard on the outside).
