Rob surely you know that in general KPP's and Rucks are the rarest of beasts in the draft generally?

Midfielders are by comparison a dime a dozen and this draft in particular was almost a pure midfielder draft.

Next draft is reputed to be deep in both numbers and quality of talls.

So although I share your awareness that we lack big man power it's always a matter of availability and affordability.

We had so many holes both through the lines and age brackets, we've bolstered our midfield and added some lesser forward options but haven't yet been able to access true KPP's or rucks due to a combination of availability and the relative weakness of our draft hand.

That should change next PSD so it's a case of fix what you can with what's available and work on what you want when it becomes available.

Rome wasn't built in a day.
Quaynor Roughhead Howe
Maynard Moore Crisp
J Daicos Pendles Sidebottom
N Daicos Kreuger Mihocek
Elliott Cameron Mceery

Grundy Degoey Adams

Int: Lipinsky, Henry, McRae, Kelly

Not full of holes. Depth in the Brown brothers, Ruscoe, Ginnivan, WHE, Cox Noble, Madgen, Blanco.

We are not contending but we are not rubbish. We rarely get flogged and I expect that to remain an admirable quality of the Collingwood Football club.

Classic Collingwood! Wouldn't be a preseason without an injury or two. :p
Pendles is professional and by the look of Jen2310 reports seemed to be in cracking nick. A few weeks off his leg won't be too detrimental, I expect. It may even set an example for the younger brigade on how to stay motivated, be professional and stick to the programme.

Pendles know as a Quick Healer and being a Older Player does not need a Full Pre-Season

I think Krueger will be FF and Cameron CHF. But agree with most of your line up.

100% We arent a 17th team on paper. We'll definitely be compeitive and we have a great defence. Looking forward to when they do proper match sims, and then pre-season games to see this new game plan in action and how it fares.

I'd have the same blokes highlighted that you have. I suspect one or two may surprise though. And who knows with guys like Chugg, Begg, Johnson, McMahon

Will Kelly is in big trouble if he doesn't show something, McMahon also needs to start performing at VFL level.

I Tip these Players to either Retire or De-Listed:

- C Brown
- Madgen
- Elliot(Possible Retire)
- Pendles(Possible Retire)
- Cox
- Roughead (Good Chance to Retire)
- De Goey

(Log in to remove this ad.)

Elliott is 29 and is our best small forward (probably best forward full stop)

He won’t be retiring unless an injury gets in the way.

That been his Biggest Problem

What about IF he gets a Big Free-Agent Offer from a Team close to a Flag?

Bit shit showing an accurate contract list with your own anecdotal opinion thrown in the middle of it.

I Tip these Players to either Retire or De-Listed:

- C Brown - Hopefully Fly plays him in the guts where he belongs. Keep.
- Madgen - Depth only, can let go
- Elliot(Possible Retire) - Nope. If his body holds up he stays. X factor both forward and midfield
- Pendles(Possible Retire) - Not till he gets to 400 games
- Cox- Needs others to step up first. Insurance until then
- Roughead (Good Chance to Retire)-Don't understand the lack of love. Plays his role, 2 more years
- De Goey- May leave via free agency but I hope not. Zero chance he will be delisted unless he farks up again.

Only Chance he has to make it. Will be a T Adams Clone

- Roughead (Good Chance to Retire)-Don't understand the lack of love. Plays his role, 2 more years

He is 32-33 so will he want to play that Long and we need to find his Replacement

- De Goey- May leave via free agency but I hope not. Zero chance he will be delisted unless he farks up again.

How many Chances does he Get?

We are not contending but we are not rubbish. We rarely get flogged and I expect that to remain am admirable quality of the Collingwood Football club.
I agree that we're not rubbish, and I've mentioned in another thread that I'd anticipate a better Win/Loss this year over last year (mainly because we lost so many close games last year and we'll get an easier draw in '22), that said, the forward line has more holes than Swiss Cheese - none of the nominated players score anywhere near a 2 goal per game average, only two of the nominated players score more than 1 goal per game on average, two players haven't even kicked a goal (apologies to Nick - doubt he'll line up in the forward line), and three of the players have 15 games between them. I'd suggest that the nominated forward line would be the least potent (in terms of key stats) in the league.

Only North and Suns scored fewer points than us last season.
We were flaccid.
