Yes, we've seen Max Gawn belt it forward for his mids to run onto with a full head of steam. We just need Grundy to be coached to vary his tapouts more. Because his taps have been worked out by other teams, many have been sharked by opposition players. If our mids know what he's going to do, by how they've been coached, we'll get a better "connection", and win more clearances. It's not entirely Grundy's fault that many of his taps have gone to opposition players.Alot of that is how Grundy has been coached in terms of what to do by the previous regime.The last few years he has been instructed in my eyes to just tap in close and around the congestion to play a high number of stoppages.
We need him to be able to hit beyond the congestion, to players on the move and not just at the feet.
This is something i am hopeful the new regime identify/
