Imagine if we somehow pinch Houston from Carlton. It will be like floating to the top of the bubble chimney at the chocolate factory

With Perryman coming to us, Houston is going to cost the Blosers a shite load in a trade. I think North would be favourites to get him now, if Port still let him leave....

I like this alot....I like the fact we're being aggressive in filling needs.
Have only heard great things about Bartel.

On SM-F731B using BigFooty.com mobile app
He owes us after shredding us in so many finals over the years

On trade desk, Cal mention we have a little interest in tomlinson. But imagine we may be able to get him as a DFA?
Senior list spots will be a little scarce.
With Perryman in. Murphy out. We are now at maximum list spots.

Noble and possibly (you'd think, given we are days away from trade period) Richards would open up two more. Then we can see who we delist.

Which you'd think Reef and Kreuger are in trouble, unless we delist some rookies and then put one or both of them on the rookie list, opening up senior list spots.

The money is not an issue, 850k in 3 years will be like 650k today.
This is beyond dispute, it’s a decent deal for a guy who could choose anywhere he wants.
The Shultz deal is the bigger shaft for the club beyond question.
The way small fwd's are dominating the modern game you are way off the mark.

Explain! Provide examples of reports being wildly inflated. Especially in regard to FA’s that are subject to specific rules around their contracts.

Dan McStay’s contract was initially reported as $500-$550k, then $600k and eventually $650k. Those estimates can’t all be right, and they escalated over time.

Trade Radio suggesting whispers that Sam De Koning is gettable. Might help Geelong acquire Clarry.

If so, we should definitely try get in here. I would trade our F1 and Noble pick (20?). Hope that gives them 2x firsts to go offer Melbourne for Clarry plus change.
buyer beware - why would Geel be looking to trade a player considered one of the best Ruck prospects over the last few years? Particularly as they have very poor Ruck stocks and keep having to play Stanley.

SDK isn't a ruck technically, he was put there this year because Stanley is cooked, Conway is injured and he had been well down on form since 2022, he's a KPD.

Again I don't see him leaving

I believe Lions offered $500k and we paid $550k. Managers would ensure there are provisions for CPI and adjustments in club salary cap - otherwise the $550k becomes $600k+.

Ok - so why are they trading a 200cm athletic and highly mobile defender.
I can see any sense in it - something's a miss IMO.
They would only do it to get trade capital to get Clayton Oliver given they're already using their draft hand for Bailey Smith.

If you think SDK is regarded as one of the best ruck prospects I think you need to do a little more research. He’s predominantly a defender, only got thrown in to the ruck this year out of desperation and he wasn’t particularly good. Got belted by his brother who is actually a good ruck.
