100%, spot on. Schultz is not in our starting 8 forward line, let alone 6. He’s behind McStay, Elliott, Hill, McCreery, Mihocek, Richards, Cox, WHE.
No.1 for defensive efforts in front of McCreery and Hill. Second on our goal kicking. He has struggled with a few personal issues this season and his skills are normally better than they have been this year. You will be eating your words next season wait and see.

I have no idea how you're still on here

I hope I am. I want the team to perform better than it did this year and that would mean players like Schultz performing better. I don’t want the kid to fail, despite what people on here may think. I am extra critical because of what we gave up for what would’ve been a free agent this year.

1) you under-estimate the seriousness of his injury
2) you under-estimate the depth of psychological trauma (entirely justifiable) he went through.
We burnt 2 first round picks on a mentally cooked player (Beams).
I don’t want to do it again.
I love Stef. Great player.
But, not at Melbourne’s price.
Nup.
There are question marks and uncertainties but I don’t think Petracca is at all comparable to Beams.

Not sure what more Reef can do

He's a tall midfielder being forced to play forward and has been used mostly as the sub and kicked basically a goal a game

Not sure what people are expecting. I personally don't think we're developing him well at all and quite frankly think he's doing extremely well under the circumstances.

He’s a wannabe midfielder without the running endurance to play that role. That’s on him.

Hire a private running coach in the offseason to do extras. Work with a dietician to help shed some bulk. There are things within Reef’s power to fix his biggest deficiency. How hard is he prepared to work? What is he prepared to sacrifice to achieve the dream?

The truth is you're just guessing.
If he stays which is possible, you will come back here to tell us all you were right.
If Christian goes to another club, you will stop posting.
Full of shit Carl.
It's a calculated guess that you are making stuff up based onTrack not being up for trade, won't ask for one and isn't talking to other clubs, you made that up. The proof will be when he's playing at Melbourne this year, its just the truth.

If we didn't pick him up last year Carlton would have. He was leaving last year to come back to Vic for personal reasons. He wouldn't be available this year.

Similar age. Both their clubs best/most important player. Both wanting to come to Collingwood. Both having let's call it "fitness/injury concerns".
It's similar in those ways.
The only major difference is that we have a lot less trade capital this time.
Personally I don't want the deal.

His absence after the 2022 trade period was delightful. It’s a shame he can’t learn from his mistakes.

Think we can all give up on Trac, I am 99% sure he will stay at Melbourne, however he might be gettable in 12 months time if Melbourne don’t clean up their entire football department.

I’d love us to give a fair crack at Houston, Wright apparently gettable? Interesting.
