At one point this morning Garry in frustration suggested that MFC should hold Petracca to his contract for a couple of years and then attempt to trade him to the new Tassie team. I bet that was noted in the Petracca household.

He’s been banging on about that the last 2 episodes of On The Couch.

Reckon we could get Petracca if we offered:
  • next year's Anzac Day game
  • one year's free servicing on a snow plough
  • a short video on "Insights into a real football club"
  • a week's respite care for Max Gawn
Might need to throw in a few lift passes and an artisan cheese board to get that one across the line.

denial: stage 1 of the 5 stages of grief after break-up

denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance

Melb fc will need time to work through the other 4 stages but eventually they'll get there. End of official trade period may hasten stage 3 ..

Reckon Trac maybe ends up at Ess

2MP + 1st rounder + other residual pick swaps, might get it done.

A midfield of Daicos - De Goey - Petracca - LDU would be ok

There's a bloke called Josh Daicos that's shown a bit off half back lately. Just saying ;)

Yes you are right. ✅😁

Josh is generally a better ball user but lacks the genuine leg speed of a Noble/Markov. But maybe the better ball user makes sense.

It's a strange expression that has always flumoxxed me. Barge poles are used to push the boat away from the thing you want to avoid - so with your view, you'd be better off touching him with a barge pole to keep us away from him.
“Barge-poles are the long wooden poles used to push barges along when the usual power source wasn’t suitable”

GC will want picks in next years draft to cover what they have coming through junior ranks.

Good work John, buy low and sell high!

People don't seem to understand that getting lynch would only be an option for us if
a) we have spare salary cap room for a year
b) we get a first round pick with it too.

If both those things are ticked then his wage doesn't matter and whether he plays a single game is irrelevant, as it would be a total bonus to the pick purchase.
