I can think of two. Mitchell and degoeyOne thing is for certain we need players to come in to the side who ultimately will make it hard for the likes of bytel, long, sullivan, lipinski to crack the team.
Bit rough to put a best 22 player that hasnt missed a game when fit since we recruited him in the same category as 3 SSP players lolOne thing is for certain we need players to come in to the side who ultimately will make it hard for the likes of bytel, long, sullivan, lipinski to crack the team.
Do you really think we can get 10-15 games out of Mitchell and 15+ games out of degoey next year? I would like us to get reliable mids who don't have a history of their body breaking down thus allowing them to play at least 20 games. That way naicos can start developing a rapport with players he knows will line up with him for majority of the season.I can think of two. Mitchell and degoey

Actually, I thought it was pretty shite at the end of 2020… then we finished 17th, when others were incensed at the thought of predicting no finals. And you prob thought our list was rubbish at the end of 21. Things evolve quickly.
We'll get Mcguane next year. Another top 10 pick but we'll have to pay more than what we paid for Nick.Actually, I thought it was pretty shite at the end of 2020… then we finished 17th, when others were incensed at the thought of predicting no finals.
But then we got v lucky, with the gift of N Daicos, along with trading for a norm smith medalist.
If you can see the next Nicky D about to land with us with no first round draft picks, I’d say you were dreaming. Even repeating the booby trade would be v v lucky. Mitch was also v handy, but a band aid solution. And the rest of our core players are 4 years older now, so yes, I still think we are in trouble.
Mitch was a very nice band aid!Actually, I thought it was pretty shite at the end of 2020… then we finished 17th, when others were incensed at the thought of predicting no finals.

However the behaviour of Premier League clubs going forward will now be heavily influenced by the Financial Fair Play model & particularly the new PSR or the Profit & Sustainably Rules whereby an individual club's expenditure is now strictly determined by that club's total revenue. OK. Even Manchester City who achieved the highest revenue in 2023/24 will now have to think carefully about their spending targets. Goodnight & good luck. They don't often spend huge money on a single player, they're measured in what they do and Liverpool very rarely get it wrong. When you consider what United & Chelsea are spending on players, with seemingly no thought process behind it other than "costs a lot, must be good", then Liverpool could be studied as a model on how to do it. I'm incredibly biased, of course.
I am not totally against the latter trade. However I would prefer one of the Gold Coast's earlier trade picks. I am pretty sure that they have Picks 6, 13, 20, 26 & I think, 34. OK. Therefore if we can secure - and I am excluding Pick 6 as that may be overly optimistic - one of of Picks 13 or 20, (and less so Pick 26) then I would prefer that we go down that path as opposed to a straight trade for Lukosius in relation to Noble. What do others think?I’ve been think about this, hear me out.
A straight swap, Noble for Lukosius. He’s the perfect replacement for Howe or playing as a true 2nd or 3rd forward. He kicked 39 goals in 2023 and was played all over the shop by hardwick. He’s an elite mark and is 24. I think he could be the retrospective trade of the year after next season. Sort his contract to pad it out over 4 years.

Oh he has. That’s why he may be tempted out.He might have been passed by Georgiades.
Even though they won’t play him in their side. Maybe a straight swap for AJ then? Like for like.Port would ask for the world given he is contracted until 2029
That’s why I asked, thought he had…but then also wasn’t sure!Where did you pull that from? Houston hasn't done his knee.
Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure ohtani deferred his entire salary until after his contract finishes.
Dixon’s finished. He will take his place.Oh he has. That’s why he may be tempted out.
Depends on the situation - as an example Ohtani I believe heavily back ended a contract to allow the Dodgers to get more talent for the now.
I do agree that he may be in their future plans. Poor old Dixon looks broken most games. They do have Ollie Lord too though. Maybe one of Marshall or Lord ends up looking elsewhere if Georgiades stays put.Dixon’s finished. He will take his place.
They need help down back
I think it’s part of the plan for him. Stay put for a year and bide his time and request a trade to the Pies when we have the draft capital.I bet end of next year petrecca will ask
For a trade
Marshall, Georgiades, Finlayson, Ratagolea, Allir and Zerk-Thatcher.I do agree that he may be in their future plans. Poor old Dixon looks broken most games. They do have Ollie Lord too though. Maybe one of Marshall or Lord ends up looking elsewhere if Georgiades stays put.
Keane was worse than Dean in his games at the Pies. Had no idea when left 1-on-1. Still has no idea.Dean is actually listed as slightly taller than Keane.
He is quite slender, though, but more time in the weight room should help rectify that.
Darcy is listed at 208cm and probably still growing, so he'd be a handful for anyone.
Maybe with more experience over the next year or so he’ll have the confidence to rebound. One of his major strengths was his intercept marking. I don’t think Dean is slow.Keane is stronger faster and a better rebounder, Dean is better at spoiling
Ludicrous is good on account of his big salaryMarshall, Georgiades, Finlayson, Ratagolea, Allir and Zerk-Thatcher.
Lord’s stats are no better than Reef’s and people want him delisted.
Does Lukocius make them better at either end?
