i know it is to trigger a compensation pick, but damn, thats a lot of money for a player who wouldn't even be top 10 on our list.
other players may get their nose out of joint, i know i wouldn't be happy
It should equate to about 700k per year with the new SC. I think he's worth around that, especially if we get Peatling as well.

Setterfield is at Essendon and was at the GWS Academy at the same time as Perryman (and from the same region as well.

GWS- Carlton- Essendon
Not a good choice maker this bloke

I love how journalists try and make this stuff look like a running race.

"Port just have their nose in front of the Pies but it's close" oooooh the drama.

I do wonder if this is based on anything whatsoever? Wouldn't surprise me if Perryman wants to go to us and his manager is trying to make us stump up slightly more, say 50k p/a or certain triggers.

F1 and noble for 12 and 20 is horrible trade I’m sorry

JFN for pick 20 plus maybe some later pick swaps be pretty fair in my opinion. Much as I love JFN and as important as he is to our team structure, he is not worth a first round pick in the overall scheme. Not when Geelong are likely to get Bailey Smith for a late first round pick (the mere thought of which drives me mad).

Having said that, unless we get at least the above, no way we should let Johnny go. He can play for us another couple years, then join his family up in the sunshine state. He's young... not like he's in the twilight of his career and anchored down with partner, child and other commitments. Or at least he doesn't strike me as one of those.

If we can convert F1 into a 1st this year, plus some, that'd be a win too.

I thought the same reading that. Collingwood and Port are running down the straight like Bonecrusher and Our Waverley Star. What's Perryman doing in this racing analogy?

At what pick would our future first have to land at to think that it was a successful trade ? 10-18?

What if our future pick is between 1-9?

When we traded last years first for Schultz I wonder if everyone was talking about how deep the draft was in 2024.

I’m just sick of continually trading out our future first, it hasn’t gone well for us and I’d rather keep it out of a noble trade.

Just got a text that SEN have announced Perryman is choosing us - big Pie fan.

Just listened to it
It said, he was a big pies kid growing up, but port have a big offer, so he has a decision to make

A texter to SEN said that he or someone he knew had met Perryman’s brother in Germany and that Perryman’s brother said it was a done deal that he was going to the ‘Pies.
I edited and added

I met this guy in Prague, July 2014 that had Fremantle 2014 premiers tattooed on him. Not everything comes true in Europe 😉
