HOT DEMAND FOR SUNS PICK
GOLD Coast's pick 12 has become the in-demand selection of this year's first round, with a stack of clubs chasing the prized choice.
Clubs are chasing the pick given it would likely otherwise be eaten up by a bid on Suns Academy prospect Leo Lombard, who would be expected to attract rival interest before that choice.
It has left the Suns again with the hottest draft choice up for grabs following the strong pursuit for its pick four last year, which ended with the Western Bulldogs taking Ryley Sanders (at No.6 after free agency compensation and a bid pushed it back).
Carlton, Collingwood, North Melbourne and Melbourne are among the clubs with interest in the Suns' second first-round pick for this year, with Greater Western Sydney and Adelaide also among the clubs expected to look at the pick.
The Suns last year creatively turned their top pick into multiple trade deals, spawning extra selections for 2023 and 2024 that allowed them to match bids on four first-round Academy players as well as enter this year's trade period with three first-rounders.
Trade Radio
I understand people have different philosophies, I understand most of what Kane says is waffle, but for once his thoughts and mine collide (except Perryman where I think he loses a bit of direction there) in terms of McCrae’s comments re players / picks
Edit: I’m sure Fly’s comments were just he’s musings and, like Cornes states, I’m also sure those around him are in constant discussion re balancing picks / players
Yet they still haven't made the finals...HOT DEMAND FOR SUNS PICK

I wish we could get LombardNoble and our pick in the 30’s (is it 33?) for GC’s pick 12?
Then how about we on-trade pick 12 for two in the 20’s and give one to GWS for Peatling?
So we’d effectively turn Noble and 33 into Peatling and a 20’s pick. I’d do those deals.

Geelong tax. They get what they want lolHow exactly do these journos think Geelong could get a deal done for Oliver when they're already going to have to give up a 1st round selection for Smith?
Is Melbourne that desperate to get him and his entire wage of the books that they'll settle for a single future 1st?
Geelong would need to trade someone like SDK to get the required currency surely.

Except for the fact Houston grew up a mad scum supporter and thats his preference, but is open to north after meeting with Clarkson.i havent read the thread but the obvious trade is houston to collingwood, johnny to gold coast and top ten pick to port.....some things just stand out like dog's extensions...
He supported them all those years they were shit and still wants to go there. MadnessExcept for the fact Houston grew up a mad scum supporter and thats his preference, but is open to north after meeting with Clarkson.
Sounds like you need to shorten your posts. That’s why I don’t participate too much in the game day thread. I get emotional too but I hate our boys coping crap from our own. And by the time I finish crafting an angry abusive post that player has done something good and we love him again
Can’t be the full quidHe supported them all those years they were shit and still wants to go there. Madness
Just "delist" for every campaigner as soon as they make any errorSounds like you need to shorten your posts.
Surely you can squeeze in "Xxx##$x is a ****ing useless spud." Before he does anything good.
I suffered all those year supporting them so might as well suffer for 800k a year playing thereCan’t be the full quid

GAGF GeelongUnlike Henry Oliver has a long contract remaining at Melbourne. Smith is OOC though isn't he?
Unless he's fallen back into bad habits this off season already and Melbourne are happy to get him and his entire 1 million plus salary off their books I find it hard to see them offering him up for cheap or at all.
Given the Petracca situation and worry he'll request a trade in 12 months it seems unlikely they'd entertain losing Oliver this trade period.
If Melbourne can get a round 1 draft pick and lose half his salary, they should absolutely trade him.Unlike Henry Oliver has a long contract remaining at Melbourne. Smith is OOC though isn't he?
