As much as I'm sad to see Seeds and BK go, reality is that they weren't in our best 22. Howe will be great for us. He was good at the dees and i really believe he will take his game to the next level at the pies. He's a good size, great kick and amazing mark. Can't wait to see him in the black & white.

Why on earth did we hav to involve 3 other clubs. Crows always wanted to swap 32 for seedsman. Deal done

Doing a trade for the sake of doing a trade is not good trading. Kennedy was under contract too ffs, that should of given us even more bargaining power.

We caved
You're overrating Kennedy. He has no value.

People have seriously overrated the value of seeds an and Kennedy on here. Seed could not cement a spit after 5 years despite him being the type we lack and Kennedy has struggled to take the next step. I know Howe is not a world beater but he has a better track record than these two.

maybe ….maybe not.

Jed Anderson gets pick 15 and would struggle to come to a view that he is better than Kennedy and Seedsman collectively;
Jake Melksham is worth pick 25

Both better deals and neither player BOG on Anzac Day (yes i know it was only 1 game but it was better than either of them have delivered)

must admit not sure we didn't get dealt a bit here.

On the other hand I do think Howe will be terrific for our club but it was;

Seedsman and Kennedy
for
Howe and 68

Hmmm…..not sure I would call it a win.

Melbourne weren't going to accept Kennedy and 44 for Howe. If they would have we obviously would've done that trade then trade Seedsman for pick 32.

I doubt we would help facilitate Aish's move to Collingwood when it's clear that we're interested in him also. The only way that would occur is if we still haven't convinced Aish to join North by the end of trade week and to then ensure we get something decent for Bastinac. Even then I still doubt we would involve ourselves in any trade that moved Aish to Collingwood and we would just deal with Brisbane separately.

Your missing one think Aish doesn't wanna go to a club with 15 supporters and a street called arden
And games where there is more thank just the cheer squad at games
He wants to play for the biggest club in the land with his best mate, can't get much better than that

You forgot the $300k salary cap that are freed up!

Once again, we don't know what we will have in the draft because the trade period has not finished yet.

unless someone else gets pushed out the door, how else will we get involved early in this draft?
Losing our first rounder
Losing our 2nd rounder for aish

We will get back a 2016 2nd rounder for freeman (which will probably go for aish ) and an apparent swap of picks between saints and us for , perhaps 44 for 25 ( if they get that from essendon in carlisle trade )

Best we can hope for is picks 25 and 27 as i see it. Perhaps couple them up to move up in draft, who knows.

Thats more reason why we should of done seedsman trade seperate and find out how much they really wanted kennedy. If u happy with trade, fair enough, but im not

It was a trade that involved 4 players that are varying degrees of average. We walked away with the best of them so I'll take it and move onto other deals.

Aish to Collingwood
Bastinac to Brisbane
Picks 26 (collingwood) and 78 (brisbane) to north

Thoughts?
Think this is more fair. Best I can come up with

North receive: Pick 26 and 47
North lose: Bastinac and pick 40

Brisbane receive: Bastinac and pick 24
Brisbane lose: Aish

Collingwood receive: Aish and 40
Collingwood lose: pick 24 and 26 and 47

Hai friends :rainbow:

I come in peace. I know such collingwood posters as Morganashlee and Good_Old (I assume they are the lower tier types on this board)

So it is common knowledge that the brions want an experienced player as part of the Aish deal. Just out of curiosity which player would you offer?

Bastinac

I don't know why the Lions would want Bastinac. They have already recruited enough offcuts, that anymore will actually do them more harm than good. They should just take the picks to get their academy players and give them game time.
Aish isn't going to North. I doubt whether Bastinac is going to cause the Lions much grief if they dont pick him up. The alternative for them is Aish moves to the draft and the Lions struggle to pick up the academy players who are far more valuable than a Bastinac.

Brisbane look like they're deliberately trying to include Bastinac in the Aish deal to cockblock the pies. Kangas will have no intention of facilitating a trade of a player they're chasing to another club. These need to be done separately.

Have a nasty feeling about this.

TradeSENtral with Dekka

- Jeremy Howe - Playing high forward that can play on the wing.
- Adam Treloar - Is close, waiting on 2nd round pick from GWS. Hoping it will be done tomorrow (apparently two SEN boys have Wed times in the pools). Would take early afternoon tomorrow in the SEN pool.
- James Aish - Lot of it around where Bastinac wants to go. May depend on whether Brisbane wants to seperate the two deals Have been in dialogue two or three times a day since the weekend (at least)
- Paul Seedsman - didn't expect at the start of the year that he would be leaving. Looking for opportunity.

We have at present 26, 47 & 65 (already taken 7 off the table as it is tied to Treloar)
