We will in all likelihood only get a 2nd round pick for Freeman. Probably mid twenties after compo picks. 2 years & still has not debuted because of injuries.
Even in the VFL last year he could not sprint & had to just cruise at half speed. Then had to go back under the knife. Perhaps he has doubts our medical staff will get him right? We don't exactly have an impeccable record with soft tissue injuries.

Well Adam Treloar is 4 years into his AFL Career and from Victoria, a proven top line AFL midfielder and is deserved of a large contract that the Giants can't offer him? I don't see how a kid who hasn't played a game can walk out for money. Simple really.

Loving reading all the "conspiracy theories" about the coincidence of Danger and Freeman announcing the same day could mean Danger will pick Collingwood. Because they have the same manager.

Assuming we get Treloar and Frost is promoted that still means getting 6 replacements from a very lean pool of talent in the draft, according to what we hear. How can we go about doing this? A lot can happen, and I think the club has expressed an interest in bringing in more mature-age players in this period.
Maybe another player coming in with Treloar from GWS, for instance. Also, perhaps players traded out such as Seed and Freeman will be for players coming in, rather than picks; or for picks that are then used on other clubs' players rather than the draft.

I'm probably clutching at straws here, but does anyone else read anything into Adelaide's official statement saying that Patrick Dangerfield "wishes to exercise his rights under the AFL's free agency rules to return home to Victoria."

They never mention Geelong as the destination.

With the exits of Daisy , Beams, Keefe , Thomas, Young plus all the retirements we have had had last couple years, we must have plenty of cash to throw around.

Still keep thinking about Pendles and Danger having lunch, about Perty saying we are after big bodies ( which doesn't fit Treloar ).

Could it happen and we land both ! Back end contracts or something and with the new TV deals..

In the past, we've tried to be a couple short on the senior list and have a couple of extras on the rookie list. That enabled us to pounce and select Langdon and Marsh when they slipped much lower than we thought they would. I suspect that this year we may choose to go back to 38 on the senior list, enabling a couple of extra rookies.

They'll have to give up something substantial to get Henderson if Adelaide force a trade for Danger, as their first pick will definitely be unavailable.
Selwood is average, nowhere near as good as his brother.

I agree on that front but I think these two players are clearly in different time frames of their careers so not sure what point you're trying to make?
