Clubs that players leave hardly ever mention the club they are going to in their statements. The announcement of the other club has nothing to do with them.

Just as an aside, why do you think Treloar is coming to us?

I can see how on the surface you're right, but comparing a 4 year proven gun midfielder wanting to return home to Victoria to a Victorian midfielder trying to move sideways for more money who is yet to play a senior game isn't quite apples for apples.

Howe could we do that? Just for the record does anybody know what Howe does apart from take nice marks? I can't say I've every thought that this guy looks like 500k player.
Maybe the avid Melbourne watchers could explain to me why we'd be after him?

There are avid Melbourne watchers?

I agree on that front but I think these two players are clearly in different time frames of their careers so not sure what point you're trying to make?
You said this:
"Don't think I want this type of kid at our club anyway (Money orientated). Seems the coin is what he's after"

My point, based on what you said, is fairly simple I would have thought:
Treloar and Freeman are changing clubs for exactly the same reason

Whilst I am not surprised re Kennedy, I am concerned that we are losing a lot of guys with the one thing we seem to lack, leg speed. Kennedy, Young, Seedsman and maybe Freeman. All have their issues but gee we will be pretty slow next year.
Slow ? Freeman 0 games Young Kennedy how many ?? Seedsman had 1 thats is 1 good game gimme a break .

Just stop and think about it Hodge Mitchell Lewis if your going to tell me they are fast id call bulldust.
Doesnt matter how fast you are its how good you are in delivering the ball by hand and foot . THATS our problem .

Add Treloar and maybe Aish ( i think Adelaide) and we have a decent midfield . But if they continue to bomb the ball forward to Cloke with no one there to take the heat off him we again will be also rans next year .
Hawthorn are hard at it i can really only think of 1 soft player Hill ?
Fasalo White Elliot Witts Greenwood Varcoe all soft

If Freeman wants out, we miss on Aish and look to trade Seedsman then surely we need to take a second look at Bennell and Yarran.

We need some outside speed and classy ball use.

We should be looking at potential hawthorn fringe players. Screw Essendon, Melbourne players.
Notice how hawthorn rarely delist(Dayne Garlett, I know). Their depth runs so deep that clubs are willing to trade for nobodies. Eg: Luke Lowden, Sam Grimely, Kyle Cheney.

Hawthorn and GWS probably won't delist this year- just an assumption. But my goodness let's stay away from b-graders from b grade teams.

Completely different situations with the end result bigger contracts for both. As mentioned above.

Turn it up. Treloar stated he was happy at GWS. Him coming to the Pies has zero to do with homesickness or any of the other bullshit players and their managers come up with to justify their moves. It's all about the money and the sooner players start admitting it the sooner supporters of ALL clubs can realise it's short term employment that can end very quickly and they have the right to seek the maximum compensation they can.
Same as any of us if another company offered us more dollars the likelyhood is that you'd move.

Looks like we have Stopped Chasing Aish and Instead Chasing Howe

No doubt. Not really arguing otherwise.

As I said, on face value he's right. But with Freeman, it's far harder to hide the fact that it was about money. Treloar can still say he wanted to come home and picked the club that could get the best deal for GWS.

I"m pretty sure most aren't naive enough to actually think it's not money related.
