It was wasted when we drafted him imo.

I remember wanting Lennon, so my opinion of players isn't much better but still :p
I wanted McCarthy. Still spewing about that one.

The worst think is we are more likely to lose him in the PS draft than getting a trade done. St Kilda would be stupid if they offered anything better than a 3rd round pick for him now.

They can have him for free, I mean we did get the premiership and Ball off them for free after all.

The medicals at St.Kilda only involve pulling your pants down in front of Sam Gilbert so it's not too difficult.

And demonstrating enough dexterity in the wrists and fingers to light a gaslighter and toss it onto a little person...

Not really he'd just wanna go home to WA anyways.
Nah, I reckon we'd have a better chance of keeping him than GWS. He would have been a best 22 lock with us by now, whereas he's behind Cameron and Patton in the pecking order there. I don't buy the homesickness bit. Freo are just offering him a shitload of cash.

cant see essendon passing on him in the pre season draft, may get to st kilda's 2nd round in the national draft but north richmond and dogs would look at him,

get the feeling he will be traded for st kilda's 2nd round

That's crossed my mind, as well. Homesickness has not been mentioned as far as I know.

With the exception of Hannebery, who is a noted gut runner similar to 2011 Daisy, those are all inside midfielders. We need some outside polish and linebreakers. If we can get more games into Scharenberg and Maynard, I'm sure the problem goes a long way into solving itself by putting Varcoe on the wing full time. But the ability to receive on the outside and give us quick/unpredictable ball movement through the middle will help our team tremendously. That's why people are obsessed with it. It's a facet of the game where we are clearly behind the top teams.

I'd change the bolded to include words like purposeful or advantageous otherwise you're just talking Harry O / HL:)

Freeman and our first for pick 5 and their second

We give pick 5 and our next years pick or St Kilda's second for Treloar

Trade Seedsman and second rounder for North and their first rounder.

Their first rounder (15-20) either goes into the draft or is used for Aish.

Happy days.

St kilda lose pick 5, pick 20-25
St Kilda gain Pick 9, Freeman (which I assume pick 9 gets traded for Carlisle)
Collingwood lose pick 9, freeman, Seedsman, pick 23-26
Collingwood gain Pick 5, pick 20-25, pick 15-20 (Would assume pick 5 and second rounder to GWS for Treloar)
North Melbourne gain Seedsman, pick 20-25
North Melbourne lose pick 15-19

Bring me in now Hine. Im mean't to be doing my own work at the moment, but this seems more fun.

St Kilda's second rounder for Freeman straight swap. First rounder and St Kilda's second rounder to GWS for Treloar.
#7 and Freeman for Treloar.
Best scenario for us.
Disappointed he's choosing to leave. He could've gone with a one year extension and back himself in to raise his trade value through good form then pissed off to the Saints if that's what he really wanted, but if that's his attitude then I don't really want him here.

Yep.

This really annoys me. Daisy is ordinary nowadays because he routinely pushed his body to the limit and beyond when wearing a black and white jumper. He's a legend in my book.
No, Daisy is ordinary today because he decided going on a surfing trip was a better idea than applying himself 100% to his rehab.

Seriously, who goes surfing after major ankle surgery? Literally the worst thing you could do in the rehab stage...

Matt stated this years first round pick and next years second round for Treloar and this years second round and a player for Aish. What's wrong with this? As long as it is not a first round and 2nd round in the same years draft?

Read it again, especially the bolded bits below (you might need to expand the quote to see all of it)

8 spots?

Treloar, Aish, Pick 15, Pick 43, Mitch Brown, Frost, Abbott, Cox

7&2nd round 2016 for Treloar
Seedsman + our 2nd for Aish
Freeman for 15

Could also trade 1st round next year for another gun ?

I'm probably clutching at straws here, but does anyone else read anything into Adelaide's official statement saying that Patrick Dangerfield "wishes to exercise his rights under the AFL's free agency rules to return home to Victoria."

They never mention Geelong as the destination.

I just posted similar in the Freeman thread. Who was recruited at the time due to Dangerfield like burst clearance qualities. Timing of the Freeman announcement has me thinking. We couldn't could we? Lol :p

I think we're being incredibly hopeful, but until the deal to Geelong is done, I'll be hoping!

Another snippet of Adelaide's statement says for their supporters to rest assured that they'll be doing everything in their power to get the best possible deal. Who knows, maybe he'll still feel inclined to help Adelaide do that and settle for another Victorian club.
