Bizarre when you see the umpire signalling advantage as the Pies player runs off with the ball.
If that’s the best explanation she’s got then she has to go, absolute muppet. Very quiet on the Scott touch that was very clear…. Must have been ticked off also?

Taking both those situations into account, I can't help but think that the goal review was a repeat of that EPL VAR **** up when the VAR person thought he'd conveyed clearly enough to the referee that an offside call was wrong and the goal should stand. I'll bet the ARC person was telling the umpires that Scott touched it, but they still went ahead with the centre bounce. None of them knew what the hell was going on for most of the game. Clueless.

Laura has poured petrol on an issue that would have already been moved on from with a very simple “we got it wrong”

Her entire reasoning is horseshit and frankly quite dishonest, at no point did Scott try to play on straight away.

She’s ensured this will stay in the media cycle for a few more days and loads even more pressure on the question marks of her suitability and capability to do that job.
You know that the footy is being controlled by non-Footy people, when they use the words "should have called play on because he took 4 steps inboard", rather than identifying that inboard was the direction that Scott was running when he took the mark, so his natural momentum took him that direction.

Then conveniently ignoring that by step 2, he was starting to turn his body around so he could take his line.

She also sounded that ****ing far out of her depth in that all Australian meeting.

Was she this ****ing cooked when she was at the club? I don’t remember her being so, but it would explain a fair ****ing bit about where we were at

I suspect you’re spot on here.

All of us present at the ground could see the central field umpire was delaying the next centre bounce for an eternity as replay after replay honed in on the kick by Crisp and subsequent touch by Scott.

We could see Scott’s fingers bend backwards as the ball passed on the bloody screen inside the stadium at the time and I think we all presumed the players would shortly be returning to a kick out setup.

Then BANG, the prick bounced it and on we went.

As Robbo would say “I was flaggerbasted!”

That was because Tom didn't hand deliver the ball to Daicos on a literal silver platter before bowing at his feet, cleaning his boots and launching into a Shakespearean monologue on what an unbelievable player Nick is - hence the 50
No, you dont pick up the ball and if you do it has to be immediate, not standing with ball in hand doing a pirouette. They got that decision right

You can argue that in the 6 steps taken, 4 of them were on his line. Someone should ask Laura if she knows how to line up a player behind their mark.

Even Jesus weighing in on this now and it’s unusual for Him to tee off on anything.

The AFL really has desecrated this one.
Jesus knows a thing or two about a t ….
