Citation, please. Who are these people? I've never heard of them.
The same people who; love Roaming Brian, watch Footy Classified, think Eddie McGuire should be AFL CEO, listen to SEN, call SEN, think Gerard Whateley is intelligent, think Robbo is sober, like Kane Cornes because he tells it like it is, watch the Sunday Footy Show, think it's hilarious that Billy Brownless still asks people if they're "having a froffy", think Tom Morris was hard done by, think Channel 7 should have more expert commentators, who miss Tom Browne etc.

Do I need to go on?

You left out "like and agree with Sam Newman".

Personally I thought a decent story/lesson for our game, and the AFL at large, would be Pink debuting after so much perseverance in the system.

Everyone rightly loves stories like that, but 'feel good' and North don't really go hand in hand with Barrett.

He basically does it for Adelaide.

Pink on the other hand clearly isn't a feel good story because you could say that his one about us is a back hander to our backline.

That venn diagram would have like 20 thousand people at most in the centre.

Disagree, if the blokey banter/ click bait / talk back hyperbole / trade hypotheticals etc. wasn't working why do the AFL Media department, Channels 7, 9, Fox Footy, SEN, MMM, 3AW etc. all follow the same template… because it appeals to the masses.

IF ...
North Melbourne don't manage to score 300 points on the road this weekend...

THEN ...
Questions need to be asked about the professional commitment and dedication of this football club.
Welcome to North Big Footy Damian Barrett you're a much loved journalist in these parts, I'm sure you'll find yourself involved in a lot of conversations.

People like footy and its incredibly cheap content to make.

Tom Morris and Mitch Cleary actually break stories.
Talkback radio programs make some token effort to be entertaining.
Fox Footy actually attempts game analysis from time to time.

But Damian Barrett does none of these things.

You've highlighted some of the main issues I have with the majority of the AFL media: cheap content, token effort to be entertaining & attempting game analysis. We obviously have differing views, which is fine, so happy to agree to disagree.

FWIW Tom Morris and Mitch Cleary are fed stories, they don't break them.

I just realised how good the last five months have been where I hadn't heard brain-box Matthew Richardson or brawn-box Brian Taylor speak.

Hang on a minute… something is fishy here…
That’s a little too positive for him…
