I can't for the life of me imagine what the recruiting team is thinking here.

You can think a draft is pretty even, but sliding back 9 picks is unacceptable when you have pick 3 and our list needs. We are CRYING out for more in the midfield, with plenty of options available, and we'll slide back for a flanker guaranteed. I can't man.

All the picks in a hugely compromised draft will be put forward for Warner.

Yeah, year 4 of being rock bottom and we’ll still have Harley and Ginbey as our only top 10 picks. I can see that WA have a strong squad next year so that may be in their thinking… but Warner on the cards means we trade it away again

Really only had one good pick (3) so hands are tied ...2025 looking great in draft picks .

Again 2025 is heavily compromised with NGAs and F/S. We are also going all in for Warner.
We needed the multiple picks this draft to bring in talent in a very good top 40.

Hands aren't tied, pick 3 is infinitely better than 12 and Baker.

You can just see it.. not only have we blown up the draft hand for no reason over two blokes we could have gotten for no currency used at all we are going to still have the potatoes like Culley, Rotham. Barnett, witho, Petch sitting on the list spudding it up because no one will kill them off.

Gossage thinks it’s a good move because we might win a couple of extra games to keep Reid… surely we don’t list manage around one guy now.

You don't build with 18year olds only. We already have 20 kids under 21/22. Some of them questionable as to whether they are AFL standard. We will bring in another 4kids this draft and 3-4 next yr. Soon we will be 26 players under 23

And then we have a bunch of 30 year olds with questionable durability.

Baker owes Graham all 26/27 offer a buffer for 3 yrs while the kids develop.
