They have to get 2 F1s for TB with a max f3 going back otherwise the hate is most deserved. Sounds like we did the Baker trade to keep our word to a player manager even though we thought it was overs. If the hawks thumb their nose at this our list mangers look like idiots, nice guys but idiots.

Will a journalist even ask them this simple question? Probably not

They’ll do an interview with Adrian Barich and he’ll ask an inane question about Harley Reid’s future instead. If given the opportunity he’ll also ask whether Adam Simpson was consulted about the moves made this off-season, or something equally as ball achingly stupid.

Cal Twomey on AFL trade radio

Offering their F1,F2 but want our F3 going back

We’re right to not be accepting that

If a trade for Barrass doesn’t go through it’s all on Hawthorn

Last deal to go through they say
They will wait til last minute of deadline both clubs race into corridor to do deal , fall over each other in corridor , both realising the other had aquiesced so stand off again . Buzzer goes . No deal done

I’m not potting you guys, but Richmond have more and better mid aged depth than you guys, to see them through their rebuild.

They’re going to lose Lynch and Prestia, and will need to draft some tall forwards, who will take 5 years to develop, but they will have a higher floor than WC in two years and a higher ceiling after this draft.

WC will lose McGovern, Sheed and Yeo soon, and won’t have the same number of high end draftees in to the club as Richmond will.
I don't doubt the abilities of their middle-aged players. What I do doubt is their ability to stay on the bloody park for long enough.

Look at what might be their first four mids next year: Tim Taranto, Jacob Hopper, Dion Prestia and Jack Ross. These blokes only managed to play 47 games between them out of a maximum 92.

Without the likes of Graham, Baker, Bolton, Rioli, Dusty and so on, if those players can't get over their injury problems within the next two years, their on-field performances will be far worse than this year's.

Papers fly everywhere!

In the mad shuffle something gets thrown into AFL room for processing.

Turns out we’ve traded our F1 and F2 to Hawthorn for Barrass and their F3.

Nah, most of this is correct, but both teams are carrying arms loads of paperwork that cascade into the air, the paperwork gets unknowingly mixed up and submitted to the AFL and we end up trading Darling back into the team for pick 12.

Damn you

I can just picture Pyke and Clarke at the trade table looking at the Hawks and saying "what about your commitment to barrass"

Yeah but Pyke is just a face on a laptop, coz he likes to conduct all his business via Zoom.
