Hawthorn board. Going to be a busy couple of months on here
Would be a smart get from Hawthorn.

I know some here don't rate him but he's been poorly utilised.

Cal's latest rankings. Collard in the early 20's.
Still don’t think he goes that high although might be a target of Freo’s north compo pick. I really hope we stick to our guns and take a KPD if one slides (which they may well do given how many there are in the top 20) or take DeMattia/Hardeman. Interesting to see how much MEdwards has slid…

These will start to change a fair bit over the coming months as Cal collects info.

Has Moir in the top 30 so Cleary not following him that closely.

Mitch Edwards has the slides on a bit. If he fell back to pick 35-38 would we grab a young ruck particularly if we fail to get one over the trade period like last year?

Interesting to see Curtin down at 6 now. Guess clubs can see that there's no point talking him up too much if West Coast are going to stay and take Reid.

Collard looks like he might be rising enough to tip over the risk (he doesn't want to move/he won't play well interstate)/reward (he could be a star) barrier for interstate clubs sadly. Need him to seriously sell he doesn't want to leave WA and he hates Freo. Surely one of our major sponsors can offer his family nice paying jobs if he stays.

Mitch Edwards dropping makes me interested.

Zerk-Thatcher requesting a trade to Port Adelaide along with Ratugolea who has already done the same thing

Have to admit that Port have a good record of attracting players to their club for whatever reason

How they get trades done with both Essendon and Geelong when the only picks of value they have are 37 and 43 in this draft plus their future picks is going to be a fun watch

Will Patton is an interesting one was 193cm at the start of the year. Would be great if he grew a couple of cm this year but even if he hasn’t had a really solid carnival (all Australian) would be great value in the 30’s.

Taylor Goad sitting outside the top 30 along with Cleary(swans academy), Sanchez, Schoenmaker, Laul, Zakostelsky, Lorenz, Copper Simpson and Clay Hall could all be in the firing line for our 30’s picks.

Both are our of contract, both are pretty average. Geelong saying they want a first rounder is laughable.

Future second for Esava, future 3rd for Zerk Thatcher. Essendon replace Zerk with McKay for free. Geelong have De Konig, Kolo and Henry as backmen already. Can live without Esava.

Got my calculator out again when looking at implications of Port v GWS this week.

Currently we could make an offer to GCS for following:

GCS Picks 28 & 32 (tied to GWS) - Total Points 1261
for
WCE Picks 35 (tied to Port), 38 & 54 (tied to Port) - Total Points 1207

No real reason for GCS to do the trade as it's a points loss.

But if GWS win we have an improved offer

GCS Picks 28 & 34 (tied to GWS) - Total Points 1219
for
WCE Picks 33 (tied to Port), 38 & 52 (tied to Port) - Total Points 1274

A 55 point gain for GCS.

Leave us with 1, 19, 28, 34, 57 & 74.
