You want to take Collard with our second pick? No thanks
He's one of the players I'd consider. Certainly ahead of those three I mentioned and a long way ahead of players like Arie Schoenmaker.

I want to take players with elite attributes, maybe we split pick 19 to start night two and take him mid second round.

Now that dickhead Twomey has swinging dick Collard in his top 30 there would be other clubs ranking him similarly.

His last 2 games have really killed him getting to pick 40

Time to split pick 19 and get the little Kent plus something else. Pick 19 on it's own is a reach considering who might still be available.

Both are our of contract, both are pretty average. Geelong saying they want a first rounder is laughable.

Future second for Esava, future 3rd for Zerk Thatcher. Essendon replace Zerk with McKay for free. Geelong have De Konig, Kolo and Henry as backmen already. Can live without Esava.
I rate Zerg Hatcher. Will slot in nicely at Port.

Following Melbourne’s recipe of trading in all their KPPs

Pick 19.

Has the aura of "value" as it's deemed like something that could be traded for greater value on draft day.

Like an outlier in the mix.

1-18 have there own diminishing value.

Then 19 with this aura.

Then 20 etc etc again with diminishing value.

Do we cash in the "aura" factor in trade week and bank a gain?

Say Adelaide's 20 & 23 for 19 & 35?

Or Sydney's 22 & 30 for 19?

Or Melbourne's 24 & 34 for 19?

WAFL.

Ashton Ferreira, Joe Fonti, Aiden O'Driscoll, will all be late and rookie selections.

Ashton is the son of a mate of mine, so you think he's a good chance to get picked up?

Listen to the latest Gettables episode

The tone has definitely changed from Twomey regarding where Reid will end up, get the feeling he now knows it’s likely West Coast.

He did mention if North get 3 for McKay, could they split that for GWS’s 2 firsts and come to West Coast with 2 and 6 for 1, I’d still say no to that personally, would want another pick.

Also, McKercher was on and he’s incredibly well spoken, probably my favourite draftee interview wise.

You’re referring to phantom drafts on BigFooty right?

I’d be worried if club recruiters are using dickhead twomey to guide their draft decisions
You'll find that the print is very well connected and his Collard ranking means that their interest as a mid 2nd rounder

No combine invite so he's more of an outside chance.

Given how easy he stepped up to League he'll get reassessed. Outside midfielder in a poor South Freo squad.

Anyone seen/have views of George Stevens? I like the write up.

Three queries for me.

1. Lack of pace.
2. Where does he play at the next level ?
3. His man child size was a point of difference at the lower levels, suspect he will come right back to the pack at AFL.

For me I would be very nervous taking him in the top 30.

That said he is a natural leader and he does football well, so it’s not out of the question that he makes it, BUT we need to ask the question - if he doesn’t develop significantly, worst case scenario -do we really want a slow half back flanker who's scope for improvement is a real question mark.
Conversely best case scenario - is he a younger version of Jye Bolton with out the smart arse attitude.

Time will tell.

Still don’t think he goes that high although might be a target of Freo’s north compo pick. I really hope we stick to our guns and take a KPD if one slides (which they may well do given how many there are in the top 20) or take DeMattia/Hardeman. Interesting to see how much MEdwards has slid…

Hardeman has risen to 17 in these rankings.

Another surprise.

Twomey ranks players on what he has heard from clubs as much as true ability and form.

We and Freo both have picks 19 and 21 that will push out. Chances are thats why he's ranked Collards there. Because the two WA teams have picks around there.

Went and had a look at some of his games and yes he stood out as a big brute who got involved alot inside but didnt show great pace or super skills.

An honest big mid cracking in and accumulating.

Would he be exploited on the spread at AFL level?

A bit harsh on Twomey.I think he correctly predicted the first twelve and where they went last year.
It is a long way to go till draft night but having Collard in the top thirty means most probably a few teams have their eyes on him.

All I know is when there's smoke in the Vic flog media there's usually fire.

Twomey is the most basic Kent, if he's noticed Collard kicking 10 goals in the last 2 WAFL Colts finals you better believe actual recruiters would've as well.

Twomeys rankings are just tip of the iceberg, I suspect ESPNS and other places doing monthly power rankings/phantoms Collard will have seemingly gone from a nobody outside pick 40 to now featuring.

I was staunch about waiting until pick 40 but I feel that's ships set sail and a pick split is probably on the cards. Could be another Shai Bolton, can't risk it.

Look at Twomeys top 30 rankings for September 2022, was only a couple out. Of course he speaks to recruiters and clubs, he works on the AFL Chanels and can’t be seen to get it horribly wrong.

Ah, Josh Rotham. His versatility knows no bounds. Is he a half-back? Is he a KPD? A wingman? A third tall forward? A backup ruck? None of the above?

He's our own Mark Blicavs, but worse at every aspect of football. Except maybe sprinting, but even then he needs to cut corners to win a race.

No he's suddenly our most valuable trade commodity
I think he'll be with us next year. We'll need guys to delist then
