This reminded me of this gem of a photo my mate found on the interweb and posted on our old car club messageboard.

No idea who the guy in black is, but Benny looks like hes been having a great night :p

You wouldn't catch James Hird or Voss in this condition....Cuz is on the Fuzz!

That photo was taken the night of the 2005 grand final, not at a car club. I am not saying he doesn't have a problem but when that photo was taken he would have been dead tired.

What a load of rubbish. How do you know that was taken GF night?...
you were there I suppose:rolleyes:

Just another night on the juice for Cuz...nothing out of the ordinary.

Is it just me or has Cousins face aged heaps within the last 12 months or so ??

Ever seen the reports on the effects on a certain substance and the way it ages you before your eyes ?

Well, since the photo was taken in late 2005 (post GF), you'd probably need to reassess your thinking or just skulk off quietly into the distance with your head down.....

Question still open .. Seen Cousins lately ??

I wont Skulk off anywhere ...

Apologies if this has already been posted in this massive thread:

“Embley got sick of hearing Druce (Cousins ex) and his missus (who is mates with Druce) b*tch about Cousins so he said he would take Druce up to Chick's place for her to talk to Cousins in person. On the way up he texted a heads-up and got a phone call back saying, effectively, don't be stupid, the place is full of tarts and blow. Problem is the carphone was on loudspeaker. Druce has forced Embley to continue up to Quinns Rock, Chick (who was there, Cousins having bolted) starts dressing Druce down. Embley steps in. The next day Chick has arrived at training off his chops, walked up to Embley and king hit him.”

Acording to this article in the Age, drug testers show up with 30 minutes notice and ask for the players they want.

http://www.realfooty.theage.com.au/realfooty/articles/2007/03/20/1174153062663.html

From what you say, a player who "used" over the weekend then fronted for training would need to be constantly on guard and ensuring that he took whatever precautions prior to going to training on the off chance that he was targetted. Cos once he's at training and they show up, there's no time to do anything.

Constantly on guard? Depends on how you define it. A smart player detoxs on his day off anyway.

30 mins notice is enough time to empty your bladder, take a couple of the solutions in question. Then all you have to do is not be able to pee for the next few horus while it does it's work. You can't pee on demand you know

Source? Even "first hand from a contact at the club" through to "5th hand chinese whispers with the boot studder?". That said - the amount of leaking going on indicates a fair few people who are pretty unhappy wit the internal handling of events.

On the content - I can believe this up until the point of Chick turning up to training "off chops". Surely he wouldn't be so stupid... or addicted?

Club will assess Cousins weekly. Anyone who thinks hes gone for the year is a idiot

Worsfold doubt on star's futureAAP

WEST Coast coach John Worsfold is not sure whether Brownlow medallist Ben Cousins will ever play for the AFL club again.

Worsfold a idiot ???

Hanging for you to get some things right Big Cox ...

I heard through an Eagles official (through a 3rd person) that, as I said earlier they dont expect to see Cousins for the remainder of the year.

Who knows if it is true or not but its the best info I have got.

I can believe that.....it sounds like a perfectly good explanation on what went down at the Cuz&Chick crack house.

We don't need a source when you get info as creditable as that:thumbsu:

The guy in black has been identified as one of the most important Coffin Cheaters around and is a regular at the CC clubhouse....he is employed as a "minder" to watch over CC members at nightclubs when they are plastered.

See him holding Cuz up?.....good work man in black:thumbsu:

Less chemicals? Dosen't that defeat the purpose:D

heh heh...thought I'd log in and scope the forums to see what Big Footy's gaggle of wannabee Journos and gossip mongers had to say about the Cousins drama...and whaddya know? A plethora of mindless speculation from those that sit down to urinate...lol...run along kids and leave the commentary to those in the know...all shall be revealed in the pages of The Age sooner than you think:)

That stuff you refer to happens to be the most "pure" form of amphetamine on the market atm and one of the most expensive. I wouldn't call it a crap drug, crap in its effects on the body and brain etc yes but crap in terms of euphoria and purity, you are way off the mark. 95% addiction rate would suggest it aint crap. As i've said before this drug is the devil and you'd be surprised how many people from all walks of life are caught up on it. Sad reality and it would not surprise me if it is involved in this instance, hope it's not but would not surprise me.

Thanks Caro!

Woosha handled himself very well and answered everything. Too bad no one listened or cared to what he had to say though

IMO BC, Cousins won't be back, full stop.

My reasoning ... presuming he is allegedly on ice (as has been widely alleged), rehab is going to take 18 months to two years. That's some tough stuff to not only get out of your system, but to get out of your mind. By that time, he'll be either 30 or 31. Who is going to want an old man who is an ex-druggy? If the budgies want him back, more power to them. I can't see other clubs lining up for him after he's had a year off (where he isn't training with the team nor playing in the WAFL).

Benny's blown it.

He can play while he's recovering......just needs a 2-3 month break and should be back come finals time.

Look I have not done Ice but am not entirely innocent either. Unless you have specific experience and that stuff graps a very fit person after a few goes....then all these calls that he was an addict obsessed with regular use are over the top. Yes it is obvious that he used something probably including Ice but he was playing good football in the lead up preseason challenge matches so he is NOT likely on a long holiday because of the degree of addiction and use!

The long holiday is either that serious discipline and rehab are necessary to rid of a long term but fairly irregular use, or it might be very close to strike 3.
