You would imagine that an omicron specific vaccine will be being developed . Just keep vaccinated with best available in the meantime . When there is a fire you use a blanket a fire extinguisher a garden hose whatever you can to put it out you don't just wait for the fire truck .

Mark trampled all in his own turd and walked it through his nice white carpet yesterday. His hypnotised supporters wont agree but the best you can say about it is that at least he straight up admitted he hasn't fixed the hospitals. He also undermined vax confidence by stating that its only 4% effective (but then in the same breath stating that you will have another one dammit or I will throw you out of work). Leaves our state perpetually locked, masked and held to vaccine ramsom - all to hold off a virus that will inevitably get in here anyway.

The AMA tends to be overly conservative in terms of its political partisanship too though. Two recent presidents ended up in the LNP.

Omar is from WA also, and is the former WA president - not sure if that influences his statement.

Compared to the world? Not huge.

Compared to Australia where we’ve had it relatively good throughout? It’s the deadliest day of the pandemic.

And put it in real terms - it’s equivalent to a bus full of people driving off a cliff. You can’t call it “barely any deaths”. It’s deaths in significant numbers.

Yeah, AMA wanted a push back of at least a month as of this week. Tune changed fairly quickly.
