That's a win for those who didn't get it and held out till now. Five/six month holiday if they could afford it.
At least they didn't write an article for our national media that was 100% wrong the very next day.Wasn't someone in here saying we were going back to lockdowns and masks post election?

WA's COVID jab mandate becomes tougher today, and experts see no reason to change things
About 60 per cent of WA's workers now need a third COVID-19 vaccination to stay on the job, and while the Liberals disagree with the continued requirement, there is no end in sight for the mandate.www.abc.net.au
I read it yesterday. It was an appalling range of non-scientific reasoning for continuing the mandates and I'm glad they now look stupid. To be fair to the article (and I hope you read it before going off half-cocked based on the headline), nothing the Premier says in that article contradicts the move today to abolish vaccination mandates except in specific areas. It has a range of government ministers, the CHO, university experts and other commentators saying a mixed range of predictions for the continuation of the mandate.

Did you read it yesterday? If so, were you in disagreement with it?
The only person saying they should or will end soon was a Liberal politician, who I'm sure you would agree is not an expert. Everyone else went the other way.I did. The article was about a range of experts saying one thing, and a range of experts saying the other.
Bit rich to laugh at the ABC for reporting quotes and statements from those who have an expert opinion one way or the other, and then the government picks a side the next day. Do you laugh at the political commentators that made incorrect calls about the election? If people only said things when they are absolutely certain it'd made a pretty boring news article.
We've gone early on the Nurofen and Panadol for fever but our littlest is too young to know how to take the little syringe so that's been quite painful. Whatever little volume she gets makes her feel better but because it's not substantial she crashes within an hour.
I'm still what I assume is symptom free. Feel a bit tired but it's been exhausting with everyone else being crook so maybe just that. And now the general anxiety around the kids being crook after the wife was barely challenged by it initially.
the little ones are the hardest hopefully they just go through the fever symptom and then move on. that's been very treatable if they swallow have the panadol/nurofen

The Chief Health Officer's advice to the Premier was that because the third dose rate was greater than 81 per cent, the focus needed to shift to protecting the most vulnerable, and there was no need to continue most worker mandates.
The advice was that mandates should only apply in healthcare settings, and "residential aged and disability care settings where there is frequent contact with the most vulnerable groups".

"Although other workforces, such as the WA Police Force or the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, may have intermittent contact with vulnerable people, the risk of prolonged contact with a high number of vulnerable people is not the same as for healthcare workers or those caring for people in aged care or disability residential settings," he said.
"Given the high rate of vaccination achieved in WA, and the high number of people already exposed to COVID-19, most vaccination directions are now no longer required."
Those quotes weren't in the May 31 article that was being discussed.WA's unvaccinated looking forward to getting back to work, but some may find themselves without a job

It was for me. And I got the whole house painted for good measure.I wouldn't call it a holiday.....

Probably... but screw thatIf you were not vaccinated, could you still be eligible for JobSeeker during the time of the vaccine mandates? Just curious and not a sledge or slight on you or others who lost their job due to the mandates.
lol, yayOmicron specific boosters could be on the way.

It's interesting how many challenges they've had with these. They make sense for vulnerable people that have needed to avoid catching COVID so far, but I'm not really interested as I've already had Omicron (and three vaccines as well).Omicron specific boosters could be on the way.
