It won't be a problem as the Peter Page Hyundai FC, oops I mean Centrals guernsey is blue and has an extremely large white sponsor's name on the front of the guernsey.

The club ruined our guernsey and sold out for a few pieces of silver. I Hate to say it but this is now the ugliest guernsey in the League.
Please answer me this... Why are they called Central District? I’ve never understood and no one has been able to explain.

Huge improvement on white. Finally!
Yeah looked great. Finally looked like a team in Crows colours running around instead of a team in generic white pyjamas with some terrible Crows design on the front.

Basically a club to represent Salisbury, Elizabeth and Gawler in the SANFL
"Central District" was the agricultural region name for the area. They didn't want to name it the club one of the three.

Having said that I grew up in Salisbury in the 80s/90s and we were affiliated with Port. My brother and a couple of cousins playing for Port in under-age and Reserves Footy. Hence why I supported them pre AFL.

Yeah Port were given Salisbury from Centrals in the 80's. I attended a school in Salisbury East in the 90's, and a classmate was picked for Port's development squad as that's where we were zoned to. The irony is geographically we were probably closer to Norwood and North (let alone Centrals) than Port!

Eventually the SANFL gave Salisbury back to Centrals in the 2000's

Thanks for your reply. I should have specified... Why is that region called Central Districts?

AFL rules MUST be enforced, even if they don't make any sense.

Crows have to get an entirely new jumper colour because apparently blue clashes with gold. But this is fine:

Home guernsey clashes because it has too much yellow.
Obviously the solution is to change the red and blue and keep the exact same amount of yellow.....
it'd be interesting to look back on our games over last 5-10 years, as there also seems to be a phenomenon where our guernsey clashes with theirs a lot more when its a hawks hone game than it does for our home games

Clearly no clash if all the Essendon players let their kids scribble on their legs before the game
Really, shit tattoos is the most likely thing of all to clash with collingwood.

yep also went to school in Salisbury East and our school footy zone was aligned to 'Port Adelaide White' and we wore a black jumper with white chevron (or maybe it was a yoke? long time ago now)

How’s this any better than our yellow guernsey when it comes to clashing with Hawthorn?
Surely our home guernsey provides the least clash of the three.

Well for starters, Hawthorn’s jumper is a gold base. Us also wearing a gold based jumper is probably not the best idea.

In terms of the home jumper, I think the logic at the AFL is that its the mess of dark/light. Ie, having the dark navy with the gold popping against it clashes with Hawthorn’s gold popping with the dark brown stripes and shorts.

Dark colours (navy blue/brown) look similar from a distance

Red is the differentiater here so correct guernsey choice.

Umpires in white or sky blue if sensible (they'll be in yellow now doubt)
