Our home guernsey is our identity and has been since the start. In a world where clashes don't exist or matter, I don't get the point of changing our identity when we play away (aside from marketing dollars of course)
I think it's fine that the Adelaide Oval experience is considered something special and pure, and we can rotate what we do when we're away at someone else's ground.

Am I really alone in not liking the jumper? Just think a whole team wearing that is an eyesore.
Couldn't give a rats arse about it .. on the flipside, after all the shit clash jumpers we had during the Trigg / Fagan reign I won't be complaining too much

I was ok with the red clash jumper we wore this year, really just should've had navy blue numbers (collar etc)

Would also be ok if we went down a similar route and created a yellow clash with hoops. It's just that the yellow needs to be vibrant and not the washed out baby shit yellow of some of the earlier attempts. Might even get away with navy shorts on the odd ocassion

I know it's not a new design but....

Is a million miles from this....

It's giving me confidence that when the new logo comes in, they won't do anything stupid. Someone there has an idea of what looks good.
I think this is the biggest thing. Between the Gather Round jumper and this, it's like they're listening to what the people like to see.

At the moment I see a Crows announcement and I am actually eager to see it. It doesn't fill me with dread like 10 years ago. It seemed for years that everything we'd put out would make you cringe harder than the last.

Blows my mind that anyone can have an issue with this clash guernsey when we've rolled out/tried to roll out some of these eye sores over the last decade or so. Even if the new clash is for 'marketing etc', I'll happily pump some money back into the club, particularly when we're about to be in some serious debt once we've moved to Thebby. At the very least, it looks like the club are starting to listen to fans, and are recognising fans identify with the old crow logo more-so than the Baltimore Raven we created. Go Crom xo

The second one looks with the white crow over the hoops looks better than the new one we’ve just released

Nah. White isn't one of our colours, and sticking a random clipart of a bird on some stripes is just lazy. That jumper is aggressively mediocre, and has real "made by intern" energy.

The clash for next year is one of our greatest guernseys and was worn by some absolute champions. It looks fantastic and I've been hoping they bring it back for years.

White doesn’t have to be one of our colours for the guernsey to look good.

Aggressively mediocre, made by real intern energy, what tha?

Query what was your opinion on the white jumper when the club chose it? Was it aggressively mediocre then ;)

We will have to agree to disagree but I do question your taste given your history of wearing velvet ;)

Personally with the AFL pandering to us after screwing us I feel we missed an opportunity to roll this one out

If it came to it tell port we let them wear the pilons in away showdowns

This was classic example of how inept we were as a club. We allowed Kochie to control the narrative and he ran to sunrise to bag us for pretending we were the state side and how disrespectful we were to the greats and Port Adelaide. Slamming our players as not earning the right.

But here is the thing.

1. This was always marketed as a tribute to South Australian football through the crows PR
2. Not once in any press release or media announcement did the Crows state at all, they are The new SA SOO side.
3. All state sides wear this jumper, even amateur league state sides. It is not an exclusive SA SOO jumper where the elite of SA football exclusively played under.
4. The most perfect marketing opportunity for the first AFL Showdown at Adelaide Oval was missed by Kochie in his stupid hyperventilating. The Crows could have played Port in their Prison Bars in this jumper and had it marketed and promoted as celebration of South Australian football. Could have paraded the greats of SA around the ground and everything.

Kochie not the Crows ruined this game. Proof he is as selfish a twit as we think. Yet he beat us in the narrative. Says a lot.

Remember, I'm very rock and roll, so we get away with velvet. ;)

Fair enough - I only really liked the simple white guernseys. All of the ones with tears and decorations were big disappointments. Just putting a picture of a bird on it seems a bit pointless and lazy - our standard jumper but with white on top and as the shorts was probably the only one I genuinely thought looked classy.

It says a lot that the guy with his own media outlet beat us in the media narrative?

We shouldn't have caved. But Port using Koch and Cardone to attack us should have been very predictable.

Agree 100%.

"It's a cash grab." Who cares? So are memberships. So is every other bit of merch. So are our ticket prices.

They've actually listened to their customers ;) for once, and are putting out stuff worthy of buying. I really don't get what upsets people so much about the club making money from selling things that fans like. What should we be doing instead? Running out in plain white or yellow guernseys when we clash and refusing to sell them?

"It doesn't solve clashes". Neither does Collingwood's. Everyone always wants us to act like Collingwood.

I for one will be fully barred up every time we wear it. It's a ripper.
