I think it's great.

Personally think it was easier to watch football on tv when most of the clubs had a white or similar clash jumper but there always seemed to be clubs who thought they were above it and the AFL let them get away with it, and no one seems to care now.

So if everyone else is getting away with it, I'd rather we wear a decent guernsey that clashes than one of those ugly white ones.

I guess my only minor concern is that we had a set most people liked with either the red or yellow based hoops jumper in 2021-23, and many people were like ok thats us, lets lock that in, but they only managed to keep either of them for 1 year (yellow) and 2 years (red). So what happens in 2 years time?

I sort of trust the current lot to come up with something decent, but what if it's not them, do we get another attempt thats the quality of those from 2010-20 or worse, a "retro" re-issue of something from that era?

Happy to have this one while we've got it though.

The second one looks with the white crow over the hoops looks better than the new one we’ve just released

While it's not a real color of the club, the white jumpers were actually pretty good for TV viewers when we played the darker teams away

"It doesn't solve clashes". Neither does Collingwood's. Everyone always wants us to act like Collingwood.

The "Collingwood" clash jumper for our club would be this, which we already did (this version had player names in the hoops but you get the gist of it)

I seem to recall the yellow clash strips of ours (which I quite liked) getting a heap of hate just like the white ones.

Yellow weirdly gets a lot of hate. I love it. That guernsey was an instabuy for me.

An all yellow/gold version of the design would be the ultimate true clash jumper (with this design) to use against the darker/redder teams

Looks better, probably would only work against darker coloured team uniforms, though. It wouldn't work against Hawthorn, usually The AFL want The Crows to wear a clash against them. A red version probably would solve all clash issues, though.

This was classic example of how inept we were as a club. We allowed Kochie to control the narrative and he ran to sunrise to bag us for pretending we were the state side and how disrespectful we were to the greats and Port Adelaide. Slamming our players as not earning the right.

But here is the thing.

1. This was always marketed as a tribute to South Australian football through the crows PR
2. Not once in any press release or media announcement did the Crows state at all, they are The new SA SOO side.
3. All state sides wear this jumper, even amateur league state sides. It is not an exclusive SA SOO jumper where the elite of SA football exclusively played under.
4. The most perfect marketing opportunity for the first AFL Showdown at Adelaide Oval was missed by Kochie in his stupid hyperventilating. The Crows could have played Port in their Prison Bars in this jumper and had it marketed and promoted as celebration of South Australian football. Could have paraded the greats of SA around the ground and everything.

Kochie not the Crows ruined this game. Proof he is as selfish a twit as we think. Yet he beat us in the narrative. Says a lot.
We ****ed up trying to sell members names on the jumper

Gave SANFL something to use as a reason for withdrawing their approval/support

I think it a case of the design looking great by itself but it doesn’t look as good when it’s actually worn. The positive is that they are moving away from the Raptor head. I do prefer Scorpus’ yellow and navy version.

119others you should email this version to your mates at the club
Ok mate, sure thing. Looks like a great design and, in my experience, the club seems to be always open to constructive well thought out ideas (and criticisms). I had never really followed this thread until recent days but am enjoying re-learning about the history of the guernseys

I coincidentally had the Clubs head honcho email me a few days ago asking if I was happy with our fixture for 2024 (after my previous emails sent to the AFL/Club Mgt re overall fixture inequities then followed these up again leveraging “Keays-Gate”. I will include the design (post 2431 above I assume) when I respond this weekend and let you know if any feedback.

Anything else for the clubs attention that should be included?
