He kicked 6 and had 20 odd touches.

In fact he kicked more goals than Big Easy had kicks. He's playing

Who cares? We know what we have with him, and it sucks.

We're not contending, there's absolutely no upside to playing bad players who also happen to be old.

Or Hipwoods goal from the ootf which wasn’t ootf

I think there was an “attempted kick” by Eddie late in the second that went a little under the radar by the umps ;). All in all it was a great flee flowing game of football that both teams should be proud of. Although I agree umpires desperately need to be looked into

So we run a kid into the ground for the sake of it. He looked like he was in neutral all game.

If JJ fails then drop him again.

He had how many chances to deliver this performance? Bringing him in off one match tells us nothing. Wouldn't consider it until he delivers consistently.

I'd bring in Fogarty if Himmelberg is cooked

Why waste the development games? Himmelberg is fine, the idea of 'rest' is absurd. If we don't want to play him, play the Fog.

Don't waste games on older players who can't play. There's absolutely no point. We won't win the premiership, and we won't be better in future for it. Worst of both words.

Even if he did it consistently, who cares?

We know what he is in the AFL, the sample size is large.

It's not worth seeing again.

Too many botched opportunities in the forward 50, and I haven’t seen the numbers but appeared to be smashed in clearances. 1 point margin asks what could have been.

Neale was running around like a lost dog, and Charlie showed us what we’re missing. Atkins has a claim to all three of good, bad and ugly.

We lost the game in 1. ruck, 2 our kicking into our forward line was diabolical and continually bombed it to crumbers and 3. set shot conversion. Put Grundy in that side, some pace in the midfield (Anderson thanks) and better method into our forward line and we win by 5 goals.

I love this POV at Round 9, we already can't win the flag.

I somewhat agree with Scorpus however, bring Fog in if you want to..... but you're kidding yourself if you don't think JJ had a brilliant game.

There has been absolutely nothing all year to lead to a view we can win it. We're mediocre, we've lost to bad teams. The horrifying thing is we've only played one good team to date- and we're not ahead of the curve.

Sure, the other teams could all die in tragic accidents, leaving us premiers by default, but the odds just arent there.

Also: my point is not whether Jenkins had a brilliant game, it's that I don't care whether we do.

I know what Jenkins is. And I know that it's nothing worth bringing back. We are both a better team, and smarter for the future, by playing a player that will contest aerially.

So who in your mind can win it ?? And am I right in thinking you believe Brisbane are mediocre ??

He plays today we win.

Brisbane are indeed mediocre.

If I had to pick the contenders right now:

Geelong
Collingwood
GWS
Maybe WCE on the proven record.

He plays today we win.

He plays today he gets one cheapie and spends all game hanging out the back of the pack hoping the ball will fall to him whilst his opponent marks the ball and rebounds.

Like all the other games this year he played.
