Young was BOG against us earlier in the year. He was awesome that day and we really struggled to stop him as he is very quick but also very good in the air. We finally found someone who managed to stop him in the last quarter and for me that was the reason why we won, because he was the one keeping OP in the contest all day.
Would be one of the best perfromances I've seen this year, but im not sure if he is usually that good, or if he just had a day out.

Did ya have your eyes closed the day N.Black kicked 10.11 against you blokes Akka? I know it was a bad dream. It would be a pretty damn good performance to beat him. Imagined if he kicked straight??
If you have a read of what I said you buffoon you will see it said one of the best performances I have seen. And futhermore, Black only really dominated the last quarter of that game, and as you would have seen in the results section on the VAFA website M.Taylor was given BOG for Werribee. Black was good no doubt, but I was much more impressed with Young's performance, and Bannister last week.

Black was good for 4 quarters, just couldn't kick for 3 of them.....
On other news. What has happened to the Warriors. They have gone to woeful to winning games and winning well? Have you guys thrown out the text books and gone back to playing simple footy? Been running the boys at training? Good to see the competitive spirit back.

just by looking at afl and vfl results its not hard to tell that its competitive for spots.
- dogs have no injuries
- even callum urch (former afl listed player) can't get gig in the seniors at willy.
- with willy smashing everyone, why would change a winning formula
This may be the case, but black certainly isnt a freak. Christ if everyone on a D2 list did a VFL pre season, and didnt come back fitter, stronger and more competitive then footy should stop. He is a good player (any player on a VFL list must be a good player) but i still dont rate him extra high. Lee brothers are freaks and Taylor down back is a super freak. If he wasnt injured werribee wouldnt have lost the game. Simple, best CHB ive seen in some time, werribee's team revolves around him, and why wouldnt it.

find it interesting that you rate the lee brothers and aaron taylor as freaks...black has played in every rep squad imaginable, vic metro, western jets in TAC Cup, 1st year at VFL level this and played nearly all games at the most dominant club in the VFL....but he probably doesn't measure up to the lee brothers or aaron taylor. who have played local footy aaaannnnd a rep spot to t. lee (well done)

Game of the round out at Werribee this week with the Paul Beddoe Shield.
Werriibee v Glen Eira has pulled out the best of both clubs over the last few years. Expect nothing different on Saturday. Glen Eira need a win against another top 4 side if we are going to do anything this year, and as strange as it seems would probably rather come up against Werribee (good record) than St Leos or Banyule(bad record).
On the other side Werribee want to keep the mantle of top side in D2. Drop this and they probably go down to 3rd and maybe questions may be asked. Again.
It's going to be a cracker!

Ivanhoe 11pts over Bentleigh (Pace big loss)

My tips for this week, and I am tipping a couple of upsets.
Ivanhoe over Bentleigh by a goal. Ivanhoe are a good side, and should win this. Agree - Pace will be a huge loss, and Robbo could turn the game if he plays a blinder. Still going with ivanhoe however.
SMS v Therry - tipping SMS by 3 goals. The only reason for this is Bannister's hammy sustained in the rep game last week. SMS will be full of confidence after their win last week, and it looks like Dwyer is back and playing good footy. Without Bannister, Therry will struggle to kick a winning score.
Going with Glen Eira over Werribee by a goal. Werribee appear to be just going, and Glen Eira need to win this to show they are a contender. They simply have to beat one of the top 4, and I feel this is their week. Glen Eira have given Werribee plenty of trouble in the past, and Werribee won't be able to match the bioggest side in D2. The biggest concern for GE will be containing Werribee's speed.
OW over Banyule by 20 points. OW are coming, make no mistakes about it! They are starting to play some good footy, and will be tough to beat at home from now on. Banyule are a class act and have been going along nicely and under the radar. They will slip one at some stage, and OW away will be the one.
ESL over OP by 4 goals. ESL too strong at home, but I expect OP to be there abouts all game. Good young side, and on the improve.

I would have to say Masis is up there for Glen eira...and its possibly a lee brother would be a chance to take out The ladder leaders bnf...
i would have thought Fridman was a chance down at bentleigh..perhaps caught up in the delusion of trying to play vfl football??
