I hear a couple of young kids are keen to play with Hawthorn, both of which can ruck a bit but are a bit skint on the weight side of things. Might help out the whinging pirate on occasion in the absence of Collins, who from all reports is likely to be OS for the whole year.

Agreed that Jackomos is a boil in need of lancing, but he has dished out some sharp one-liners in amongst the mountains of pointless dribble spoken week in, week out.

c.taylor is not playing for willy this season,due to work commitments. huge loss,and he will be missed. not sure how we will go against powerhouse,dont know much about them. any info? but we are confident of a good year ahead,pracy match next week against prahran will be interesting.

Hayden Dillon??? You obviously didn't see last years D4 Grand Final! Worst on Ground for Eltham.

I am sure he's a good player (who had a shocker in the GF) but I saw nothing in him that day that made me go WOW this guy is special.

I dont know about that.. I played in the 2's that day, did all i could (we all did) and we lost.. I cant imagine if i had not have done anything how i would have felt about letting the team down, could have had a person play who could make all the difference.. Even after doing my best, u always wonder "what if?"

Even still, after a horrible 06 in D3, getting smashed week in week out, and returning to the club just because i mad a few good mates and it was a good place to be (and green and tan are the best combination of colours ever), i never thought id play a grannie and it was a great, heartbreaking experience.

I heard that the mighty Gryphons are playing the Belmont Lions (whoever the f&*k they are!) Percy.

By the way, has anyone else heard the latest Chris Leeton rumour? That Chris is actually taking his football seriously this season. Not running off for an annual sabbatical to Byron Bay for a couple of weeks mid-season. Not going to take a dive every time the ball travels in his direction. Not going to give away half a dozen frees whilst Rucking each week???

Maybe a certain Dutch-American cigarette company can confirm?

Wafer witnessed a golfcourse altercation at the masters.....

He also said he had played no part in other incidents including some mock wrestling in the club rooms, an impromptu fight in a garden bed while presentations were being made inside and was not present when a golf buggy landed on the clubhouse roof.
Despite that, he had served a suspension over the buggy incident for being drunk.
On the issue of drunkenness, he claimed a club official had recently been so drunk he could not stand while another member was so inebriated that he was found unconscious in the ladies locker room.

Saints- easy! Not too much from the backyarders, a couple of G E boys, very sunburned at the Rosstown Sunday arvo. Heard a wick player blow a knee in the back pocket was louder than the Qantas jet flying past at the same time.

gryphs went down to geelong and played a praccy match against the belmont lions (2007 gdfl premiers). played 5 qtrs (was originally to be 6 but one less coz of heat), and was a top game, the lions had probably 35 players, gryphs 28. belmont would have finished up by probably somewhere between 2-4 goals, but the gryphs kicked 6-1 in the last. was a good hitout anyway, many a new face down at the gryphs.
