Big news from Uni high. Headlines are, prominent and well respected member of the club, C Little has been poached by Box Hill, have been informed he will be playing alongside Papa.

end

Is Waferknuckles expected to play this weekend?

Has he been tearing up the track waiting for the new season.

I heard a rumor that he has been keeping an eye on the world news, and he is eagily awaiting the Olympic flame to make it to Australia, so he can show the protestors how it is done wafer stlye.

Im sure fullback of the year three years running - Ben Hynes - will stop this Eddo character. I hear of some country boys joining up with Uni High this year. This will make them stronger. Any truth to this??

Well nicho i guess you boys will see little of him this season then. See Little that is of C Little. Because if C Little were to play at Box Hill then there is a greater chance you will see a little less of C Little.

Iceberg,

In response to your question Wafer will indeed be gracing the oval this weekend. With a preparation over summer second to none. Once again Club Patrons, Supporters and the general D3 public will be keeping a finger on the pulse whilst licking their lips in anticipation of what Wafer will serve up this Winter.

Also if eddo kicked heaps and Powerhouse beat D4 Albert by a couple of goals don`t sook when we all say NO EDDO NO HOUSE.

Patrick McKenna from Hawthorn has just moved into our league. Can anyone reveal what sort of player he is? Ones/twos? key position/midfielder? Etc...

Cheers

I know all of you had been waiting patiently for Quasi's Crystal Ball for 08' so here it 'Tis.

Ladder after 18 Rounds:

St Johns (Will not lose at home)
Eltham (Surprise packet of the year)
Williamstown CYMS (Will appreciate the drop in class)
Elsternwick (All depends on the extent of their injuries)
-----------------------
Hawthorn (Are they ever going to sack Barrel?)
Monash Gryphons (Will improve slightly)
Latrobe (On the slide)
Powerhouse (These guys are the Aston Villa of D3!)
UHS-VU (Sorry Boycey!)
Swinburne (D4 Bound)

Premier: Williamstown (Joc's to choke in GF!)

The early games will dictate which clubs have had a solid pre-season and/or who have been able to train on their respective grounds.

Round 1 tips: (see if I can beat Waferknuckles?)

Willy to account for the House by a comfortable 53 points
Eltham to give Latrobe a football lesson - 38 point victory.
Hawthorn to bring Uni High back to earth winning by 85.
The Wicks over Swinny in a canter - Let's say 45 points
Joc's over the Gryphs in Match of the Day by 15 points.

Good luck to all teams

Coach
Note you are putting yourself/Eltham above UHSVU! Where do you think you have improved to get the better of them or were they just lucky to beat you??

I hear Powerhouse have a gun recruit this year from the bush.

Goes by the alias 'Spider' every now and again but is not well known in the big smoke.

Anyone know more about this??

this may be semantics coach, but if the gf was stjohns v eltham, wouldnt u finish 1st or 2nd, not 3rd?:)

Nikko,

Obviously 3rd or 4th can still make a grand final by winning the Prelim last I check. The predictions were for the end of 18 rounds!!!

Btown,

My predictions are based on your team being filled with alot of older players who i assumed would be retiring after winning a premiership and we are stronger than last season with our recruitment this year hence my predicitons, obviously this may change as the season progresses as we track the results & form of all the clubs..

older??? the average age would of been about 24... the only exception would be old fater time Waz being 55 but still he is better than most 25 year olds

Hello Gents,

I'm back after an extended hiatus.

I am going to miss my fat boy Angelo (No)Pace this season so I will have a few new targets in D3 this season instead.

Some comments for you all to consider...

How many crack deals need to be done in Dandenong by the St Johns team to help pay for the coaches fee?

Will the new fat boy of D3, the Hawks coach, ever smile about ANYTHING. Such a cheery character! Will he ever see his toes again? Will struggle with the losses of some big key names over the summer. It's OK, Jakomos might still save the day (NOT).

Will Power House ever win without the goalkicking machine Edwards? More goals predicted for their Best and Fairest and premiership winner. Watch out Monash and Eltham as his record against those clubs is very good. Former captain is now coach.

Elsternwick will continue to roll out thier tried and true (now tired and true) old timers in a desperate effort to win enough games to get them into the finals where their ageing bodies and poor disciplanary record will see them fail again. Has Wheels retired - let's hope so!

Williamstown have an old style hard nut coach but a bunch of wild party boys. Some major departures may see them struggle again despite them talking it up on here.

Latrobe will be good again except during semester breaks. No commitment from the playing group. Plenty of beer drinking.

Swinburne will rely heavily on Mary Higgins to kick them a winning score but his old and big body will fail again. They have no other scoring option.

Uni High, I just hate Boycey so lets all hope they fail. I think they are going to be out of their depth in D3. If Boyce wasn't around, the club would be liked.

Eltham, the failed finals specialists, will struggle. They always start off like a house on fire but tire of the weekly travel and run out of legs. With a fit young squad they could go OK.

Monash proved last year that they were not up to it but a major influx of new uni recruits will serve them well. The problem is that they are mostly Indians, so their website will be fantastic at least!

Lastly, why does Wafer refer to himself in the third person all the time?

I'm Dee Three, that's my take.
