I guess my only comment to that is that it's far from the first confusing decision coming from the VAFA.
Very little surprises any more...
Hardly slagging Crazy. Slagging would be something like those useless bunch of C U next Tuesdays or such. I am sure the LaTrobe guys would be playing up the fact they have been underachievers in the past and will no doubt give everything to make amends this weekend. Should be a ripper in both grades.

LaTrobe to win the 2's and Albert Park to win the ones is my pick. Key forward Murnane and key back Kane back in the side last week. Neither played against them last time.

Murname is certainly a quality forward - times his leads really well, good hands, good kick.

Big day Saturday. Have to choose between Collingwood VFL, SFL division 3 where I have mates playing in all 3 Mount Waverley teams playing in grand finals, or LTU v AP.
I think LTU v AP is going to be a cracker so I'm leaning towards it at this stage.

Lt.U v A.P----I will probably get down to watch this game as I expect nothing less than a 'down to the wire' ripper. Latrobe Uni by 2 goals.

Lt.U v Kew----Another tight match and I will hope for a few 'fireworks'. Kew by 2 goals.(plus they have got to have something to justify thier promotion to D3 apart from finishing 3rd........ atleast a magoos flag)

after watching one of the most insipid prelim finals i've ever seen last w/end - one would have to say LTU by so much its not funny. there was no hard ball - there was no intensity and it was just plain boring. only highlight was a tall lanky for AP (30 something) taking a few grabs.
chadstone and box hill would have been a chance

latrobe should win both in a celebration of under acievment very rarely witnessed in football circles by a club that should never find itself in the lower divisions again......agree with the prelim which was the most uninspiring game of football I have had the displeasure to witness for a long time.....but i will be cheering for albert park 2moro....

Well done to Latrobe-Uni on winning the D4 1's & 2's for 2009. I was told that A.Park still had a chance going into the last Quater but as they have all year Lt.U kick so well against a strong wind. Kew just out classed by a Lt.U team with a big list to choose from. I think thats 2-3 years in a row the D3 team thats come down and won the flag. Lets hope that run ends next season.
Also heard a rumour that Nth.Brunny are under investigation by the VAFA for the previous weeks game due to several threats made by club personel and supporters. Any truth to this?
LTU just too good, too quick, too clean, more accurate, any glimmer of hope AP may have had at 3/4 time died when the change arrived and the NW wind swung around to the SW, meaning LTU kicked with it again in the last, it didn't change the result, just blew out the margin. LTU have a number of players way too good for D4, they'll be hoping they can retain them and not go the way of several previous D4 premiers who go up but struggle as players take off after winning a flag.

Being involved with la trobe for many years am as proud as punch. Has been a massive weekend and will be a massive couple of weeks no doubt.
Firstly thanks to all the other d4 teams, good year stick at it.
Credit to all the clubs / players whom have been involved this year. To think we all do it for nothing week after week compared to suburban / country footy is a credit to all involved and the ammos in general.
Enjoy the break and good luck for next year.

Congrats to LaTrobe. Solid year. Only wish you'd have beaten Kew in round 17 so that we could've had a crack at you guys in the finals.
Good luck in D3 next year. That will be a tough division for sure with 12 sides, none of whom will be weak.
