Collingwood Getting even more pathetic, Deal with North exclusively!!!

John Ralph 7 Minutes ago- The Advertiser
Collingwood is still the resounding favourite to secure Dan Houston despite believing the Power's current demand for the dual All Australian equates to a trio of late first-round picks.
The Pies are prepared to secure Gold Coast's no. 13 and 23 picks in a swap with their future first-round selection and departing defender John Noble.
But they are not prepared to hand over 13 and 23 to the Power, believing Sydney would then trade its picks 19 and 22 for the cherished No. 13 pick.
It would leave the Power with picks 19, 22 and 23 and Richards for Houston.

Houston’s trade values been degraded more than hurricane Milton
Disagree, until the hurricen dies out Wed, the legend of 'okay Houston, we've a problem here' can morph off into space.
Where he is curretly viewed as the best kick in the comp and can grow into, the best kick in the AFL this century.

The 18 minute drive to Arden Street is just too far.
North is the old folks retirement home for footballers who wish to get rich before thay fade away, where most players would swaps clubs to play in finals. Where despite all the white noise around JHF, the North and Port list management team get on very well together.

So the Port team must convince Dan he owes it to Port to facilitate the best trade.

We owe Dan Houston NOTHING!!!

Genuinely doubtful he ever would've played an AFL game if Port didn't take the punt on him. He owes the club a lot and the club owes him nothing. Maybe there's more to the story but if the reported reason for leaving is the only reason then it's pretty disappointing. We'll do the trade to be nice guys but it's more than he deserves.

Could be he doesn't love Kenny as much as Rozee.

I’m actually sitting in my hotel room in Orlando with the eye of Milton heading towards me, about 2 hours away. Happy about Milton’s downgrades.

As for Houston, now that the Lukosius trade can be done independently, we will set a price and if it’s not met, we will keep him. The only consequence is that the Wobbles will get the shits up and refuse to trade Richards- so be it.

Quite literally degraded from 5 to 2 is akin to Houston landing at 13 from 2 or whatever is being bandied abt atm

Richards can walk to us in the draft. Collingwood once ruled out won't force the issue though.

If so, Richards can walk to the pre-season draft

If this is the way it plays out, what a stupid precedent that would set.

Hey ____ , you've got 3 years to run on your contract? But you want to go back to your home state becuase you've just hooked up with someone? But only to the club of your choice - even though we can get a better outcome dealing with another club in said state?

Suuuure, happy to oblige.

We don’t have to get the best deal available, just a good deal for Port. Two firsts was and is a good deal for Port.

Why does norf need to split pick 2? Why not just trade that to us and let splitting it be our problem if we want to do that?

Because North still want to pick up the player they want in the first round. The player they want they can get with a mid teen pick.

We can find North a mid teen pick then pick 2 is ours.

What is the reported reason?

Is Dan a simp?

Why the **** would they do that? What is the difference between splitting pick 13 and giving us both picks they get for it, or just giving it to us? Feels more like they want to split it and only give us 2 of the 3 and keep one for themselves, in which case they can **** right off.

So essentially that would mean we give up a F1 for Luko and either trade down in the draft or take a mix in the 20's

Eh, depending on what happens with Soldo that sounds as lukewarm of a win as our List Managers are gonna get

So they think we are going to trade 13 for 2 picks from Sydney? What business is it of theirs?

And does this mean they value Richards at 0 seeing as they say they're trading us the equivalent of three first round picks?

This is the same as last night's article. Says 1 thing but then contradicts another.

If there not willing to give up 13 and 23 for Houston then why are they willing to do 13 for Syd 19 and 22 and it gives port 19, 22 and 23?

If it's 19, 22 and 23 the. I'd rather just keep 13 and wait and see how the draft is gonna play out and do the trade with Sydney later

Port should just tell Dan you have two choices: go to North or stay at Port. What’s the ‘downside’ for Port if he says no to North. A player who’s initially disgruntled but will eventually come around.

Geelong did that with Esava 2 years ago. He was still under contract but Geelong said no to our more than fair offer.

Collingwood’s current offer isn’t even fair.
